Udogie played well imo.He was wrong to start Udogie, and wrong to either start or keep on Johnson late.
Udogie screwed up a bunch of attacking plays, and Johnson was mostly anonymous throughout.

Comparing Udogie to Spence, he was nowhere near good. He runs without any idea of what he wants to achieve. Numerous times he ran toward Maddison and Son, making so much easier for Zonal defenders to mark the 3 of them. He does just what Ange wants, that is why Clueless Ange plays him. Spence tends to remain wide more. Works well for us but isn't in Ange's stupid plan. That's why Spence was on the bench. Arguably our 2 best performing players, Spence and Gray, both on the bench.
Yesterday his runs were very good and overlapped Son many times in which he was able to put the ball into the box numerous times.Comparing Udogie to Spence, he was nowhere near good. We'll agree to disagree. Udogie is a good WB. He can't play inverted crap. I don't think he is useless. But Spence or Udogie? No contest. The winner is clearYesterday his runs were very good and overlapped Son many times in which he was able to put the ball into the box numerous times.
He made the runs, he can't help that a lot of times Son ball hogs and ignores the run a lot of times (or releases too late).
He was our only player beating a man. Berg did a few bits but mainly MADDs was the one looking to make telling passes.
There was a 20 minute spell in the second half, where we played really well but we were unlucky not to score at least twice.Ange's post match statement says it all,
“If we repeat that performance next week then we give ourselves a great chance.”
What game was He watching?
Yip. It's gonna work well at home for Frankfurt.

No spoilers, I’ve only just seen the first commitment ceremony!Wonder if he's catching up on Married at First Sight Australia, that's what I'll be doing when I get home!![]()
He did. He had his best game in a long time he created some great attacks.
And this is the problem. On those rare occasions where we do actually play quite well (even for a half) we're too wasteful with chances in front of goal. It's all huff and puff and Ange saying, "the lads gave everything". Their keeper played very well, but if we can't score when we're dominating it IS a problem. And if the lads gave everything, then they're just not good enough at this level.Having just finished watching, it’s a hard one to characterize. Not a bad performance. Decent in fact. Their keeper was quite good. Best we have looked recently against a decent side.
But still, we concede early, we waste loads of possessions, waste far too many opportunities, and the end result despite a decent performance is that we come out level against what should be considered a lesser team.
What’s more likely, we improve on this for the second leg away, or they play just a bit better on their home ground and finish us? Hard to be optimistic in my opinion.
It felt like we gave them everything we could expect to give, but still fail to win. Even Ange said he couldn’t ask for more from the lads or something like that.
Really? I thought Bergvall was largely anonymous bar that big moment when he hit the post. He was also at fault for the goal as he jogged bag and then got there too late to cut off the inside lane on the striker. He does it a lot in terms of jogging back. When I watch psg, Woolwich etc their midfields charge back to get back in shapeDisappointed to only draw last night. It was a much improved performance but then the bar has been set really low all season!
Same old defensive shape and errors are still evident, lucky for us Frankfurt had little up front!
Bergvall was the stand out man of the match.
Really poor decision not playing SpenceComparing Udogie to Spence, he was nowhere near good. He runs without any idea of what he wants to achieve. We get the logic. But we’ve been here too many timesJesus Christ. You’re all so depressing… we played very well, we dominated, on another day we score 5 can’t you all just be slightly positive for once. We are clearly significantly better than Frankfurt, let’s be positive and we can go and get a result. Frankfurt will be worried at how much we outplayed and dominated them, hopefully odobert and kulu can play next week so we have more attacking threats also.
