Match Tottenham Hotspur VS Eintracht Frankfurt. Thursday 10th April 2025. 8pm KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I didn’t think it was a bad team selection, I prefer Spence, but I don’t think it was terrible playing Udogie and Porro, one scored and Udogie started a bit off but grew into it for me.

I’m just glad we’re still in the tie, I honestly thought we’d lose 2-0 last night and be headed into a bit of a dead game next week. We could have won last night, we certainly had the chances to, personally thought Mickey should have scored.

Either way, regardless of how positive I am of it actually happening, it is at least still there for next week and it’s still doable so I’ll believe in us (despite obvious pitfalls) until we know we’re done. We say it often, but it’s a massive game now, that ninety minutes next week is literally our season.

We had a really good second half and can't help but feel that was the 45 to put us in with a chance of going through and we didn't take it. Wide players let us down badly although I'm not surprised with that. Son overall this season has looked past it and Johnson is just not a very good right winger. I would give tel and odobert a run of games now they can't do any worse out wide than Son and Johnson and Solanke might finally get something to work with.

For fuck sake you lot get behind the team, especially when we play well. Stop making every forum about your wish to get Ange out the door. I get it. I want him to leave at the end of the season too. But in the mean time I want to enjoy any morsels of success we are thrown. We did not win yesterday but there were signs we are getting back to the best we can be with these players.

Agree.

Many of us want to see a change of manager at the end of the season., and I think that's happening regardless.

But we are all Spurs fans first and foremost, and that surely overrides everything.

Postecoglou can't be praised and criticised in the same breath.

The tie is in the balance, and if we hold our nerve, remembering the pressure is now on them, and that we don't have to chase the game, then we have nothing to fear.

It's definitely a winnable situation, and let's not make out as though we are playing Chelsea or that other rabble, or a Barcelona or PSG.

Son and Solanke to rise to the occasion, after some hearty words from Bruce.

Nowhere near the best we can be with these players. Coach is primary limiting factor.

Surprised how cautious and poor they looked like they hadnt done their homework on us. They were there for the taking. We played better than of late but other than a 15 min spell at the start of the 2nd half it still seemed laboured. Just because it wasnt a Bournemouth, Fulham, Chelsea level performance from us hardly means it was a feast of superb football. Expectations are just in the sewer. The frustrating thing is this competition is totally open and winnable.
Which is why so many on this forum said it was madness to “give Ange a crack at the Europa”. Player for player we should have won by two or three

I thought we played well last night and felt we deserved a couple of more goals. Probably one of the better performances we've put in recently which compared to others isn't tough.

Udogie had a good game, so did Romero. Maddison looked a threat in midfield and Bergvall looked fantastic, was so unlucky with the shot which hit the bar. I would have bought on Odobert rather than Tel towards the end as I don't really see much in Tel.

Will be a tough 2nd leg, especially away where we normally absolutely shit ourselves.

The atmosphere in the stadium was good last night, really enjoy it when it's like that. Shame we have been so inconsistent and bad in the league to replicate that.

£500? Did you buy a shirt from the Spurs Shop, then?

Well got tickets for 4 people and it was a bit of a birthday bash so no expense spared. I don’t go to spurs any more and you only live once right!

I have also become addicted to old fashioned cocktails which is causing my pocket to hurt when I’m out!

Good time out with my best mate and my son anyway.

Unfortunately my planned kangaroo t shirt purchase didnt pan out as was running a bit late to the ground after said cocktails.

No disrespect to the okay Bundesliga side that they are, but this Spurs team would beat Frankfurt 8 out of 10 times over two legs if they were properly coached.

And even with a clueless moron at the helm I think this team has still a reasonable chance of going through after what we've seen yesterday.

The positive thing for me was that the team came back after the usual early goal fiasco. That's important!

Our season has been fucking dismal and that would affect the confidence of the toughest minds in sport (which our team doesn't have). It would have been easy to put the que in the rack, hide away until next season, and let the manager wear the ridicule.

Not only did the team fight back, Frankfurt can think themselves lucky they're not out of the tie. When you're in a shit run it doesn't all turn around quickly and we missed that bit of luck that goes with bring on top of the world confidence.

There's fight still in this lot. If the players can find that fight it will be something they will one day look back on with pride.

We're still in it and we've at least shown we want to be in it. Where there's life there's still hope.

I fell asleep on the sofa just before half time. I woke up occasionally when the commentator shouted but by and large, missed it.

That is what Spurs have done to me.
That and getting up between 4.50 and 5.30am every day.

unfortunate, you missed probably our best half of football since the first half against brighton whenever that was .

Better you caught up on your sleep sunday afternoon as that wolves game is gonna be garbage tier

My issue with the second leg is I don't think we can play much better under Ange, and I don't think Frankfurt will play any worse. In fact their likely to be much better at home.

What last night showed is under a good coach we can actually be a decent side. Under Ange though we are shambolic.

It's never been more obvious we need a decent manager in charge, Ange absolutely has to be sacked, it's mental he's still here.

I don't get how anyone in power at the club can watch our games and think Ange is doing a good job, so why the fuck is he still here?

It is the most obvious thing in the world when you watch us, to realise that this team can be a very good team, under a proper manager.

So just fucking do it.

Seems to be standard, regardless of how well Maddison is playing, Ange will take him off. It was crying out for more dribblers to be on the pitch to beat Frankfurt defending deep, yet Ange continues with non performing Son and Johnson.

Yes we played well most of the game with exception of the wingers, we needed to win last night by couple of goals, as can see us crumbling under the intensity of the atmosphere in Frankfurt.

I thought the same thing - we were there for the taking and then they took their foot off the gas and then they were there for the taking.
But our naivety is appalling, as every game there is one of these:

Beforehand I thought we might well have been 3-0 down after 15 mins, and when the goal went in I thought here we go again. Maybe they through we can catch these guys on the break often enough. But when we’re not a complete clusterf*ck we can put together a very good 45 mins which out of nowhere we proceeded to do.

and Anges subs timings were just daft of course. Son for 79 mins? Please.

Makes for an interesting tie for the neutral. Which Spurs will turn up? and which Eintracht too.
