To be fair, Timo is capable of beating his man (albeit more with pure pace than skill), and did so several times yesterday. It's just everything else (esp. finishing) that he can't do!
We just don’t look drilled at all, defending crosses is absolutely basic stuff. To keep conceding the same goal can only be a failure of coaching.
It does seem like Ange is overly focused on embedding his broader philosophy rather than attending to the basic principles that you actually need to follow to win matches.
Focusing on the fancy Angeball stuff while we repeatedly concede from crosses is just fiddling while Rome burns.
