TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Liverpool

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Not gonna lie, I'm a little bit concerned about this match. Madrid was great, but we played without the pressure of needing any points. This could be a much harder test mentality wise, which, if we come through with a win, would be an even more impressive result in my opinion.

To put it into context, if we get three points here, we would be a point ahead of last season, beating a team we drew against last year, and doing it all at Wembley. We'd also be considered serious title contenders going to Old Trafford a week later. Stakes are high.

Surely we're too Spursy to actually do it though? How much magic can Pochettino manifest?

Mauricio’s magical manifestations.

They will come here to play their Wembley cup final. For some reason i couldnt care less about their shit team. If they beat us so be it. They can add another one to their Top5 cupcompetitions.

Assume that liverpool did not rest players yesterday and whilst we had a much harder match at least we are not playing a fresh team. However need to play first teamers that are fit and did not play yesterday. Trippier, Davies and Dele. Although Son rested think it will leave us too open if Kane, Dele & Son play. If Dembele fit he plays but that is a big If.
We used to win this fixture at WHL but last 4 years we have had a problem. Hope Poch has a solution.

Both games at Anfield last year in the league and league cup we come unstuck with the constant tactic of Lloris/Vorm at goal kicks passing square to Vertonghen/Davies and pissing about near the corner flag and inviting the Liverpool press.

I hope we have moved on from that.

Happy to see a repeat of last night/ Dortmund at Wembley. Let them come on to us, stay solid, hit them on the break. They will leave gaps all over the place. Just don't let coutinho cut inside.

It sounds obvious because this is how everyone beats Liverpool, but Klopp isn't adaptable enough to do anything about it.

They have not strengthened their dodgy defence from last year and are still vulnerable on set pieces. Poch can make capital out of that, but they are lightening going forward.
Has all the makings of a cracker and may even lift the crowd at this shit stadium. That is if some of the snobs on here get out of Waitrose in time. :troll:
