My old man hates them as much as anyone, he went to anfield when we were smashed 7-0 in the 70s. They got tickets and we're in the Liverpool end. He was stood next to his mate in the first half, turned around and he was gone. He was on the floor, someone had chucked a golf ball at his head and it hit him square on.

I think they were 5-0 down at half time, they left the ground. Outside by themselves, they were set upon by about 8 scousers milling outside the ground in a group who didn't have tickets and beaten up 8 Vs 2. After getting away they spotted some police and asked for help. The police responded by saying tough, you shouldn't have been there and did nothing to help.

Times have changed but he fucking hates them for that, and this salt of the earth image they portray of themselves.

I hate that at the start of every season we finish above them year after year after year EVERY pool pundit predicts they'll finish above us!

I grew up near Swansea and it was utterly bizzare there was a club right next to most of the kids I went to school with who they could go to watch as I did, and yet they would wear scouse kits and go on about how they where the only real club™ around. They are no different from Citeh or the Chavs in anyway whatsoever owned by billionaires and sponsored by a company that got into trouble for financing terrorism. Anfield the so called "peoples ground" was first played in by bloody Everton!
Yeah yeah i'm Welsh and support a London club but since my pa's from there and is a loyal yiddo at least i've got some kind of connection to go off. Growing up around pool fans in the 90s was shite enough as is but my heart always sinks when you see kids in Huddersfield or Brighton or even Newcastle all now premier league clubs wearing Liverpool tops.
 
The good news is that they will come at us so it will open up. The bad news is that we can never beat these cunts. If we can get results against dortmund and madrid then i think we can get a result against this lot and if i was poch I'd set up against them just as we did in those two CL matches. Play counter attack football, don't sit too deep and have multiple outlets (son, kane, eriksen?) up the pitch.
Will we have a fit LB? I wouldn't start rose yet to be honest. Who plays in midfield? Dembele, dier, sissoko or winks? Who plays in attack? Kane and llorente with eriksen again or do son and dele get a chance. Poch has some choices to make and i don't envy him
 
I fucking detest Liverpool. After Woolwich and the <removed>s they are the team I wish nothing but Ill will and bad fortune to.

The worst Everton fan is still 100x better than the best Liverpool fans.

Been to Anfield many times .... massively overrated and now looks like a ridiculous meccano set .... the ground, the team, and the fans are all out off the last century ... feckin' detest 'em all .... never met one who doesn't believe that a team that's achieved bugger all in the last 25 years is not the biggest club in the World ... stupid arrogant tossers .... hope we smash 'em

That's quite ignorant. You can't stand at a football ground anymore due the actions of David Duckenfield. And there were many factors that led to Heysel Stadium disaster. Poor segregation and a dilapidated stadium were the primary ones. But I agree with you about Anfield. Turning into a real mess of a ground and they should have rebuilt it from scratch.
 
I remember when we got done 7-0 up there. On the way back a big group of them were taunting us. About 20 Spurs broke the police escort and went at them. They all melted. Every one.

Always been mouthy cunts.
