Yeah we were excellent the first 20 mins, even though City had the ball. Should've gone for the kill, they were out of it when Pape scored.

CB been ok, Romero is at it, Kulu and Sarr good with the ball, Roddy helping Archie plenty, Solanke giving Ruben a good fight...and Timo scored.

Shame we stopped playing and obviously about Micky.

It's a consequence of the system itself and likely no easy fix unless you make a major change. The outside back on the far post side of the pitch always plays up to quickly transition, or they play so high and can't get back in time. We could do it but it kills a very specific aspect of our system at the moment.
 
Our left and right sides are very one dimensional. A lot of huff-and-puff and limited defensive capacity.

Johnson is not a good enough forward to constantly be switching off either, pathetic.
 
Our wide players don't contribute nearly enough in terms of general play. They have moments, or in Werner's case a moment. But their general passing, ability to keep possession and just all the things you want to see from modern wide forwards, aren't there.

Gray having an absolute mare. Would certainly look at making a change as unfortunately they are targetting him as a weak point.

Get Porro on and Gray could move to the 6 position. Sarr is skating on thin ice , fouling regularly.

It was shocking

We had a stonewall free kick not given on the halfway line thirty seconds before the goal.

Dias goes straight through Kulu from behind and the ref just waves play on.

And that was after he gave two free kicks to City in quick succession that we're fifty fifty's at best....
