Yes Maddy behind the front 3 of Son, Richy and Johnson. That's 4 attacking players with goals in them. Then have back 4 and 2 mids to defend plus the goalie. It's a win win.
Maddy playing too deep is a waste, he is one of few we he have to unlock opposition defences. Son is on and off, Richy is a striker and can't rely on one player in Johnson.
OR park the bus.
The bottom line is unless the starting XI, whoever and whatever line up, perform on the pitch, we will lose as we did at Newcastle.
