Other teams (some) have stopped us playing
But I think we've also abandoned some of the more extreme points of his tactics......and once you do that you are just like everyone else

Well that is a great attitude then isn’t it? Probly why the players didn’t play with any belief.I am not that pissed off TBH.
I kind of got a sense from Ange's presser that he thought the game was up.
Not one but both our FBs out.
And to compound that Sess injured again.
Start with not playing inverted FBs. What real benefit do we get from it? Let’s get our FBs and wide players working in tandem down the flanks to get into good positions. The second half was much better in terms of control until going 2-1 down, that seemed to puncture us completely.
Ultimately though it's simple, we've initially got away with some dodgy performances since Xmas but results are now catching up with them. We are struggling to progress and build possession, we all of a sudden lack quality/creativity/threat in the final third, and we can't control games, are getting open end to end affairs, and with our approach that is going to mean being leaky as hell and struggling to win football matches.
What's the answer? Multiple things I guess. Teams have had a look at us now, we need to readjust and pose new threats, we need to introduce a bit more ball-playing and attacking threat into the team somehow, and some individuals need to get 100% fit and get back to the table - there's a creative and control vacuum in midfield currently especially.
Thing is I don’t think Ange sees it that way? We have continued to play the same for weeks and his not done anything. So to me he thinks his doing ok when infact we are not.He has been reactive in games though and will
Change things up , just them subs today killed it - why did we take both Sarr and Biss off?
I just hope we see some improvement in the next game as let’s be honest the football has been horrid for a while now, still it’s early days for Ange and he needs to be given another summer window
Bcos Ange is basically like conte in that his stubborn. He very strays from his formula. Just a little tweaking or thinking outside the box is needed. Ffs what do all those coaches on the bench do.?When we are playing a team sitting in like that in the second half why not take Davies and Royal out if it and put in players that can actually play. Put bentancur in for royal and Lo Celso in for Davies. They can pass and move and might just create something. If they score again it doesn’t matter because we are losing anyway. Taking madders of unless he was injured is fucking ludicrous no matter how he’s playing. He might just do something brilliant.
It was a joke....
Insure them first...Doesn't sound too bad, might try that out next weekend with the kids
WE learnt NOTHING after the away game v Wolves.
...& also - why dnt we have a sh00ting strategy since they all camped in their Box.. pot shot from the edge of the box. Mason is the offensive Coach??
Do we not have players who can shoot?
Besides Royal - who took a shot on target \?

Fair points and observations, in my view. If Madders cannot work any of his magic against a low block or parked bus, this team is essentially nullified.
Every single team has problems against low blocks though. Eventually volume will mean you get a decent chance at some point and it's about taking it. But odds tell you at some point in the season you won't create that one chance in said game. City, Woolwich, Liverpool all have dropped points this season against low blocks.
This is the first time I remember it costing us a game outside of West Ham (who we essentially gifted the game)
That may well be the case, and I stand to be corrected if someone‘s able to do the analysis, but the eye test suggests that those other teams are more effective in breaking down the block, with individual players in their attacking 3rd who are better at beating their man. The other aspect is that those teams seem to have better width than us and are more effective in trying to stretch the defence. With Ange inverting both his fullbacks and wing forwards, the middle of the pitch gets congested and easy to defend against.
It's;
- ultra high press
- first time passing
- pushing players into positions the opposition don't want to follow
- attacking relentlessly
- sticking to the above no matter what
We've seen none of it recently though
