Match Tottenham v AZ Alkmaar Home Thursday 13th March 2025 8pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'd go for something like this:
...............Vicario.............
Spence - Danso - vdV - Udogie
Sarr-Maddison-Bergvall
Johnson-Solanke-Son

Oderbert/Tel/Scarlett as attacking subs. Is Micky Moore injured?

Thought Romero was pretty poor today and will need to stay fresh for Argentina

Pretty much this - except Odobert for Johnson
there is an argument for starting Tel instead of Solanke - but would imagine Tel is the better sub against tired legs.
Solanke looked out on his feet at the end - good for 60-70 mins on Thursday

The fantastic performance against Bournemouth today gives me every confidence that we'll be able to cling on for a draw on Thursday.

I'm buzzin'.

I like the optimism from some of you. I just don't see how we could win. We can't defend and we can't create. I see nothing from Ange that we can play proper football, only chaos and mess...

Well that’s cleared that up nicely then. Thanks Ali.

No mixed feelings

Win the game, which I think we will, mostly because the end of today will give the players belief.

The manager's job is to pick the right side to start the game.

Has to be high energy, which is counter to the way this guy sets up the team.

I think even though we were shite and very lucky today, it could give us the confidence to win this .
If they score first though it could all go wrong . I actually see them scoring

Luck plays a big part in life and in football.
I think the Sarr goal was a turning point in our season.
We shall score thrice.
A defender, MF and Solanke.

Vic
Back 4 of Porro Romero VDV Spence
Mid 3 of Gray Bergval madders
Front 3 of Odobert Solanke Tel

The midfield is mobile, creative and can all pass the ball. Two wide players that will want to take on the full backs and Dom will be up to speed after today.

If we a midfield 3 like that started today and Johnson and Sonny who won’t go by no cunt then we should just burn the place to the ground.

At least fucking go for it Ange and try save your job.

What a load of bollocks that is being spewed out there.

So it’s taken the fuckwit fraud nigh on two years to work out that if his team starts strong and plays like they actually want to win a football match, it might get the crowd going early and create a wonderful atmosphere. Twat.

After the first 15-20 minutes of most home games, most of us are rolling our eyes and sinking lower and lower with shoulders sagging wondering how the fuck we haven’t already conceded three goals. And he wonders about the atmosphere and why the place isn’t rocking. Jeez, he really needs to go.

Does anyone else think it's not very likely that this current bunch of semi-lame ducks is going to somehow turn into an efficient, unstoppable winning machine by Thursday evening?

White Hart Lame, I reckon.

I'd start Tel at LW but Ange will start Son, fine. But for the love of God don't start Johnson over Odobert.
I know Biss will start with Bentancur out but I'd give Gray a go.

Vic
Spence - Romero - VDV - Udogie
Gray
Bergvall - Maddison
Odobert - Solanke - Son
