Match Tottenham v Chelsea - December 8th - 4:30pm KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'm still pretty pissed off about the whole sorry experience. Weirdly, about 3 hours ago I was vehemently Ange out, but it think that was just post-match emotions. Now I remember the bigger picture. Spurs will never be successful under any manager while Levy and ENIC are in charge. Saying that... it was terrible game management from Ange. Even a blind man could have seen their comeback was going to happen. Should have changed things way earlier than he did, and if I ever see Bissouma in a Spurs shirt again it will be 20 billion years too soon. He's fucking awful and let's us down time after time.

It's easy, lads. Whenever it goes to VAR, they open the checklist...

"Does the offender play for Spurs?

If the answer is YES, advise the referee to send him off - no need for replays.

If the answer is NO, we recommend you give him the benefit of the doubt as he obviously wasn't being malicious or violence. Call is play on, no booking."
MotD2 never even mentioned it.

gawd... watching motd and seeing those pens on tv as opposed to top of the south...

bissouma man... I genuinely thought he was gong to be world class. wtf the fuck - started and finished the whole sequence of their equaliser.

And Sarr? He's going away from goal wtf are you thinking?
The main problem with Bissouma is that he is clearly thick as shit. He's got so much ability, but he is so dumb. Not just today, but time after time. In fact we have several players - Bissouma and Johnson mainly - who are just not very bright as footballers.

Oh and Begvall played some decent long balls - enjoyed those

With the caveat that Chelsea were dropping off a bit I was super impressed with Bergs. Thought he took on the toughest role at Spurs and didn't hide. Passing was expansive and ACCURATE

First time I've thought he can handle a premier league start. In fact I'd bin off the league and start him, Gray and Lankshear in the pl from now on if it means we can have a first 11 play in the cups.

Expedite their journey

In fairness, when the feeling has been shit. The club has gone big in terms of appointing a manager. Mourinho was out of a job, but his appointment, if you include getting his preferred coaches out of the clubs that they were in (Sacramento at Lille, his GK coach somewhere) and his wages, was not a cheap one. Conte's appointment likewise, if you see how high his wages were, wasn't a cheap one. I don't neccessarily think we're restricted to a "cheap" appointment. It's just that we act cheap once we've made the appointment. Once the bad feeling has been placated.
Levy and consequently the team is hog tied by enic and levy's total deference to the law of diminishing returns.

I wasn't feeling very optimistic, or enthusiastic about the game, same as my pals, but I went nevertheless. When we were 2-0 up, the atmosphere was amazing, and Chelsea seemed to be all at sea for the first 15 minutes. However, I feel that when Romero went off, Chelsea smelt blood and pretty much owned the rest of the game. Many people have slated him on here tonight, but despite his shortcomings he is a leader, and a big defensive presence. I feel that was a pivotal moment in the game. In defence of Ange, how can he mitigate against in-game injuries, sloppiness in possession, individual moments of shitness(too many to list), and do we have a defence capable of shutting up shop, even if he did change things? I was very annoyed and frustrated, when I left the game, but thought it through as I walked to the A10 via WHL to catch a bus, and came to the above conclusions. I achieved a state of mental peace, by the time I got to Turnpike Lane Tube, and the wife was quite surprised that I wasn't an intolerable grouch for the rest of the evening. It's just not worth hanging on to.

More individual errors yet again. We can give out all we want about Ange, but a new manager will have the same issues Ange and all his predecessors had. Fed up watching manager after manager short changed by Levy and co.
We badly need some quality in the middle, Bissouma was atrocious today, hanging out a leg for first goal and giving away a need less penalty is unforgivable. Conte said he lacked the discipline to play for a top 6 team and he was correct, flashes but zero consistency. We need a leader at 6 and more leaders and fighters throughout the team, this is the weakest bunch I have seen in a long while, they need like reason to crumble.

Everything you say, 100% right you are. I have no idea who you watch but we haven’t done that full on constant press for an age now.
Bissouma spinning in midfield giving the ball away and needlessly fouling wasn’t a result of tiredness
Sarr not just shepherding Palmer out of the area wasn’t a result of tiredness
Porro wimping out of a challenge wasn’t a result of tiredness
Our both goals today was result of a well executed pressing, limiting options to the opponent and forcing them into some chaos situation.

You keep ignoring the exact things I’ve detailed instead trying to underline poor coaching. But no agenda. Yeah.
I agree; individual errors, and sloppiness were a massive factor in today's defeat. This is stuff out of Ange's control.

When Udogie got turned by Cole Palmer and passed it to Enzo for the goal it reminded me of when I used to tell my son as a U11 “don’t dive, stay in front of him”. I actually almost yelled out when I watched that play.

My son is U14 now and he no longer dives.

How can a PL player not be able to just stay in front of the guy with the ball and not dive? Seems really simple.

They’re appallingly coached. They don’t follow the basics because of that. Udogie is actually getting worse the longer he’s here.

I think it was bollocks, he’s just error prone. He could have been wearing any shoes and made the same fuck ups.

Do the old blame my shoes routine and get away with it.

Doing the David Luiz and falling forward. Same get-up too - maybe they met at the salon?
