Match Tottenham v Chelsea - December 8th - 4:30pm KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yeah they were both stupid naive decisions, they were both clear pens though and the ref couldn't wait to give them - shame they got away with a blatant red card, I'm not using it as an excuse but we just never seem to get these kind of decisions go our way , I'd love to see a independent panel review some of the decisions in the league !
They'd never admit anything. We just gotta keep quietly seething lol

On the pens though, if they were stupid decisions by players, not really sure that's the 'systems' fault. It's our players doing stupid things at stupid times once again.

The problem I have with us at the moment is how many more 'learning moments' do our players need.

Palace: 'We will learn from this'
Fulham: 'We'll take the lessons'
Etc, etc...

It hasn't just been said under Ange either.

gawd... watching motd and seeing those pens on tv as opposed to top of the south...
I think you could watch them from the moon and they'd still look God awful.

bissouma man... I genuinely thought he was gong to be world class. wtf the fuck - started and finished the whole sequence of their equaliser.
The worst thing is wasted talent - Biss is the perfect image. Guy could be a combo of Makelele, Essien & Yaya...his skillset is pretty much that good. But he has shit for brains and doesn't live the life. Unable to learn tactics either...Conte said it back then and still so bloody obvious today.

And Sarr? He's going away from goal wtf are you thinking?
All legs & lungs, zero intelligence. Tiredness got nothing to do with it, though some tried it as an excuse. Easiest pen decision the ref ever had to make and that Palmer will ever get in his career. Not good enough to start for us.

Hmmm, he barely played for Napoli in their title run and got four starts for Galatasaray last season. Both chose not to sign him.

He's just a lazy bastard whose motivation fell off a cliff once he got his big money move.
He made 40 appearances for Napoli that season to be fair. No doubt very few 90 mins there.

Yes he's a waster, but the point being that even our worst players mentality-wise can form a valid part of a winning team.

The commentator reeled out a stat yesterday that was sickening in it's brutality.

These two teams have met 65 times in the PL era.

Spurs have won eight of them.

Definitely. The players aren't coached properly - the regression in someone like Udogie is so alarming it can't be the player.

Also watching the game from the north upper yesterday I got an excellent view of the number of times Chelsea caught us on the transition. I will let you know it was very many. A good performance from Fraser saved us from a heavier beating, though we had chances as well (as an aside, Chelsea's defence and 'keeper clearly ain't all that).
So Ange is responsible for Udogie not giving his all on the pitch? For going into challenges half-hearted? For not tracking back like a madman after he's made a shitty pass to the oppo near their box? For going to ground or opening the door to Neto/Palmer when any 6yo kid knows you gotta stay on your feet and take him towards the byline/on weaker foot?

Cause weirdly, Porro, who's also a FB under Ange, seems to have no problem putting a shift in week in week out. He can't defend for squat, but at least he works hard for the team. You don't see him give up like Udogie, Biss or Johnson do.

Are Ange & his coaches to blame for the system, lack of in-game management etc? Yes. But it's not their fault some of our lads are lazy as fuck and don't care about the shirt they're wearing.

Attendance was 61,184. Not enough empty seats to notice really.
Like Crackers said on LWOS, the only result that matters to Levy is when he's got his post-match conf call on a Monday morning, with all the managers of the different units at the ground.

"How many pints did we sell? How many pies? How many shirts & scarves? How many new bookings for the go-kart and concerts?" Etc etc.

As long as all them indicators are flashing green, Levy couldn't give a fuck that we got embarrassed at home yet again. And by the team we all hate the most after the gooners...or even on par with the cunty neighbours.

Let's have it right once & for all: Levy does not even like football. Levy does not care one bit about Spurs the football club. He was never and never will be a Spurs fan. He gives zero fucks about us fans, he has zero respect for us, he thinks we are so beneath him. The only thing that matters to him is that we spend and make his P&L all shiny, so he can give himself fat bonuses and ENIC can keep pumping the club's money into their property portfolio. Anybody who still refuses to acknowledge the above can jog the eff on with that evil dwarf cunt.

Yeah but it's cause he didn't factor in all them times where our manager coached a win and our players just didn't execute.

Like Ange. Clearly has 3 PL wins against that scum to his name. I mean, some proved it re yesterday...we won the non-penalty goal xG. Argue with that! Not sure about the field tilt, though.

My club. My chairman. My manager. My players.

Once a game is done fcuk it but on Palmer, and his importance. Simply fcuking man mark him.

People putting this bloke on a pedestal. Managers should strangle him with attention.

Postecoglou and a few others are too tacticslly stupid or arrogant to even think about it.

As others have said though, 2-up at home. A calm manager or calm heads slow it down, ease off the gas and invite.

When we get a new manager one hopes common sense and tactical acumen are close behind.

Agree, kind of.

We need more investment to reshape the squad and kick on. That much is clear. I don't think it's possible for anyone to truly excel in the current scheme of things and under our football operations, as the football is a sideshow to an NFL/hospitality stadium. The squad is thin outside of a reasonable first XI and that's not on Ange. I hope ENIC/Levy sell up soon, they've delivered a massive new stadium but are clearly out of ideas on the football front.

That said, I don't think they're going anywhere quickly and that does leave us looking at the manager. I think it's clear by now that Ange isn't the answer to any question worth asking, certainly not at this level. The lack of in-game nous, inflexibility, tactical naivety, and, on another note, his appalling demeanour/body language/behaviour mean that he isn't fit to be manager of a top six/eight club like Spurs. I wouldn't sack him immediately but the club should definitely be putting out feelers and making contingency plans, we won't achieve anything under him and he can go back to coaching Brisbane Roar or whoever.
every one of those failings was levelled at Conte and Mourinho on here

why the hell should he act like everyone/anyone else on the touchline, why can't he stand there in quiet contemplation, rather than spitting and snarling at everyone from fans, officials, ballboys, players and the heavens? Apalling demeanour? really?

Thank you. I've been telling people for so long it's boring for everyone else. Constantly trying to deal with the denial. The people saying there's no point sacking him because Levy, they are wrong.

I'll tell you why I think it's important to get someone better even if they are not long term Ange Postecoglou will physically and tactically ruin our young footballers. Udogie has regressed horribly and so isVDV. This point in a players development is so important making them understand what adult football positionally and mentally is all about this playground football is going ruin their bodies and set them back years.

Udogie now looks a clueless shadow of the player that arrived. I don't know if he's inverted or overlapping half the time he needs taking back to the the fundamentals of being a solid LB distance to the winger relation to the line, side on checking the space your oponent wants to run into. He is NOT being coached it must be obvious to even the stupid.
If the kids can't learn their trade from footballing royalty like Ryan Mason, Mile Jedinak, Nick Montgomery, and Sergio Raymundo, then who can coach them???

:ange-blow:
