This quote seems apt in response.

'When everything around appears dark and it is hard to see the light, we need to be brave enough to have unwarranted optimism'.
That quote is the exact summary for my mentality as a Spurs fan.

I have zero doubts by the time Bournemouth kicks off I'll be optimistic that we will win it somehow. Fuck knows where that optimism is going to come from today though.
I'm an Ablert Camus follower he said succinctly

"Where there is no hope, one must invent it,"

Any chance our lads could just go into the other dressing room and listen to Iraola giving the teamtalk instead?

A lot of the stuff might go over their heads, tactics and that, but they could maybe get a bit of inspiration from it?

Just looked at the Greater Anglia trains on Sunday and there are basically none....! Planned engineering works which makes this an absolute ball ache to get to.

Might just put my ticket on the exchange and watch on the TV 😄

They've lost their last 2, and 3 of the last 4 games.

Dr Tottenham to the rescue!

Wait for the bullshit from Ange and his acolytes about being tired after playing on Thursday and with injuries and a big game coming up next week we need to manage the squad.

That train is never late.

Imagine comparing tight games against elite opposition with a drab loss against AZ Alkmaar where they were the better side. Imagine thinking this was some one off bad result like we used to have in Europe rather than just piling on the failure. Have you seen how many games we’ve lost this season?

We haven’t beaten a single good team in Europe yet. It’s embarrassing you’re referring to the time we were in an elite comp playing Ajax, Inter, Barcelona etc when now a Galatasaray or Rangers are too much for us.
We could play Ajax next. To win this trophy we will get to play better teams than yesterday. We actually play better against the better teams and our problem is the lesser teams like Ipswich.
We have not won a European trophy since 1984 and a 1 goal deficit for the 2nd leg is nowhere near the position we were in at half time in the 2nd leg against Ajax in 2019. Yes we had Moura then but he was heavily criticised before that performance.
My original post was that the level of pessimism after last night on this thread was OTT. I get pessimistic before away matches to Liverpool & Chelsea where year after year regardless of what Manager or players we have we regularly capitulate. This is a home match against Bournemouth and whilst they are having a better season and may beat us, we should be more confident.

There's a link here somewhere.... I just can't be arsed to look for it!

I dont like our midfield options really.

i'd maybe try sarr, gray and bergvall

and i'd play Maddison, solanke, Tel up front.

Time to mix it up and give other players a chance to stake a claim for inclusion Thursday. No risking of Solanke.
