Yes, it's a shame the scoreline today was SO heavy,and I'd actually expected a friendly, end of season entertaining 2-2 draw before the game... but fucking hell, I'd take THIS result all day if it means we keep Wednesday as it was!

No point losing THAT and winning today, is there? We'd have been even MORE frustrated!

This season has been an exercise in "careful what you wish for"
.. several debates pre-match definitely posed the question: "would you take 17th and winning Trophy this season...?"
...and I don't even think it meant specifically which Trophy!

The fact the one we WON brings with it CL football is a quirk of fate not even the pundits could've predicted, as I think list of them had us down for the League Cup at BEST!

WE'VE WON THE CUP WITH THE BIGGEST REWARDS, outside of winning the PL itself...

The Europa is a ruse. We are incapable of not losing PL games. Was glorious but doesn’t paper over the cracks and to solely blame Ange, and hope a new mgr changes direction is lunacy

i think most of them improve massively under a proper football manager. kulu has been frustrating but remember him for 6 months under conte? he looked elite! the ability is there with him, he needs sorting out, i wouldnt discard him yet.

davies should of been gone 7 years ago, never been good enough. werner is off anyway , as is reg. drag i agree, looks pony, id give danso a fair crack under someone proper...to be fair you can kind of say the same for drag, but i think danso looks better from what weve seen anyway.

tel would be an horrendous signing, its been an awful loan spell and he hasnt even looked like a footballer to me. i reckon i could go and find someone better in non league.

vic and kinsky id both give a year under someone proper. neither are horrific, kinsky is elite with his feet. keepers need to be confident and comfortable, theyve played under a clown who plays a system that completely exposes the defence.

sarr and biss i think both would be good in midfields where they are the leg work, the rest of the midfield is the silk. midfields do need legs in them tho, look at united, they might have good footballers but physically they just get overrun.

22 league defeats and 17th. What were the excuses for all the other defeats? today was exactly like all the other losses. It's nowhere near good enough. Why couldn't we have turned up and won today? It was Brighton at home ffs.

Ange is back there in front of the camera post match waffling about why we've lost yet again, he's done it all season. Fuck doing this again next season. He's utter shit.

The fact is Ange has normalised losing every week in the league and some just shrug their shoulders.

Always have an excuse ready.

Today it was the hangover. Other times it's injuries, too many games, not enough games, and a load of other waffle.

The cold hard reality of the season is Ange has some how blagged a European trophy playing against a load of mediocre sides, fantastic to win a trophy, but the actual season as a whole has been totally unacceptable, and one trophy shouldn't wash all that shit away. If people can't seperate the two, that is their problem, some of us want better than 17th and record breaking defeats sorry.
 
I’m not going to let today’s disappointing result take my joy from Wednesday. My gooner mates are all trying. Saying they want Ange to stay etc. Sod the lot of them.

I’m still admiring our trophy.

Yep he seems to have the backing of a lot of the fans. It’s what will stop levy sacking him until we are in the bottom half in November.

We shouldn't lose 1-4 at home to any team.

But that's our tenth loss at home this season I think, too many to remember, and too many to accept if your name is Daniel Levy.

I understand what we have achieved in Europe, but is this to suggest that the the priority of repeating this next season if we qualify for the knock out stages of the CL?

We won't be seeing another three teams relegated like we did this season with so few points.

It's just not acceptable.

That is the most moronic thing I’ve heard on here and that’s saying something.

Everyone who supports Tottenham knows it’s been a shit league campaign but it’s been the season that 90% of our support will say it’s been the best of their lives.

It’s been a long hard season but I’d take our season over any other team apart from Liverpool’s. Nobody else has came close to what we’ve felt.
