Match Tottenham vs Elfsborg - January 30th at 08:00pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I think tomorrow we'll see

Vicario
Porro - Dragusin - Van de Ven - Davies
Bentancur - Biss
Deki - Bergvall - Moore
Richy
Van de Ven off at HT with Gray on and Davies to LB. Hopefully the same for Deki if we get a good lead.

Then for Brentford

Vicario
Spence - Romero - Van de Ven - Davies
Gray
Bentancur - Bergvall
Deki - Richy - Son

I know you're joking obviously, but is it just me who every time he thinks of Elfsborg genuinely thinks of smaller than average players? Presumably just because of the name. I can't help it. If they come out on Thursday night and their all strapping 6ft2 power-houses, it's gonna be quite a shock. :/

Especially if it’s their women’s side.

Jesus that doesn’t look half bad?!

Are things actually looking up

No mate, my team for Thursday is this.

GIF by International Paralympic Committee
Ball to hand, no handball

Van de Ven must not start, we've made that mistake before. Bench him and bring him on after an hour. In fact if we can I'd like him to be benched at Brentford too, he shouldn't be playing two games in a week because his body clearly can't handle it.

I doubt very much if Van de Ven starts v Elfsborg - just too risky. If he does start, I'll probably hide behind my sofa. That means Davies as LCB and Gray as LB again.

Maybe VdV 45 mins v Brentford so that he has proved fitness to play some part v Liverpool.

Think I'd try to give Deki 45 mins rest by starting Lankshear as CF, Richarlison as LW, Moore as RW, and if we need goals bring on Deki after 45 mins - possibly with Lankshear going off, Richarlison as CF and Moore to his favoured LW podsition.

If Donley, Keeley, Phillips, Abbott and Devine had not been loaned or were recalled, how many of them would start against Elfsborg?

Id say Keeley would start over Austin, Donley would start at LB or RW resting one of Porro, Gray or kulu, Devine would be at CM allowing Bergvall a rest and Phillips would be one of the CBs. Only really Abbott isn't up to starting.

I don't see the point of a squad if you don't utilise useful players

Phillips isn't CT and therefor - like Spence - wouldn't be registered.

What good would resting Austin do? .....He's only played 2 games!

More broadly; playing a load of kids in a must win game would be ridiculous.
