Technically he was the only 2nd choice LB on our roster. It's not exactly surprising that in an actual injury crisis (one at least partially of Ange's own creation) that it turns out we actually need him.
I think people expected we would have a 2nd choice LB in over the summer though, and here now too. But, I guess Levy in all his wisdom has decided that having a full squad the coach will actually use is somehow adjacent to footballing matters.
Not getting a LB in the summer was less than ideal (and effectively left the squad a man light: - subject to the discussion of how we were to register any more players for Europa anyway); but when you consider the lengths Ange went to not play Spence, it makes it rather moot at this late stage.
Retaining Reg has been a (not quite) silver lining; given how the ridiculous injury problems have unfolded.
Please not Kulusevski on the wing again. He has been abysmal there lately.
