Match Tottenham vs Elfsborg - January 30th at 08:00pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I don’t want to sound too critical after a win, but for the most part this was one of those “all bark no bite” matches against low block teams that has been the norm for the majority of the last 18 months. Besieging the opponent inside their own half doesn’t mean much if it doesn't lead to chances, which we struggle with regardless of who we play. These lot couldn’t string three passes together all night, they were not even Championship level. Yet to break the deadlock we were almost entirely reliant on wingers delivering pinpoint balls against a set defense. There’s nothing sustainable about this, as the dry spell we've been going through in the league shows. Nor will everything be alright once Romero, VdV or any other player returns.

Ange getting found out is the biggest cliche at this point, but under him I feel like our game becomes even more repetitive and duller as time passes. Our attacking patterns lack imagination and creativity. In fact in terms of how much we cross the ball we look like an old school team, the only difference being that it's low crosses that we spam.
Must’ve watched a different game. I saw us constantly open them up, particularly in the first half. Some great keeping from them, a clearance off the line by the centre back, a missed header by Richie. Against a team playing 5-4-1. I was actually quite impressed at the lines we ran to split the defence.
And then to watch the youngsters finish it off in the last 20, was awesome to see.
I’m not saying we’ve turned a corner, but I do see a team that is united, believe in their manager and see very much that they can do something special this season.

Let us keep moving, never a doubt that Ange is a much better choice than Conte / mourinho or poch

Though at times he could have played abit ball keeping and crowd the midfield area esp after we have a lead.

Personally, I rather keep the same gameplay. Lets build on consistency Ana request this son to attack the wings and have the overlapping fullback making the runs

Doesn't nearly every team struggle against an organised and determined low block? Once they tire or concede it's a different story...

Strange crowd tonight. Very easy to get food and drink. The chicken burger and waffle fries I had were a bit grim (£11.50).
People were still arriving 30 minutes after the start and they were passing fans exiting for their half time refreshments.
Then others came back 10-15 mins after H-T before some started going home on 75 mins.
I had to look across said aisle to see the pitch so all those people kept crossing my eye line for for 80% of the match.

A deserved win. Great to see the youngsters getting on the scoresheet. Can't read too much into it but enjoyable nonetheless.

Trains were buggered at Northumberland Park post game apparently so walked to Seven Sisters and burned off the alleged 'burger".

Always a pleasure to see the usual suspects. Mrs Perryman Mrs Perryman

Got home, at 2-40am.
Fucking roadworks, went through 8 lot of them. Good result though.
Good turnout from the TFCers.

Daniel Levy on the blower to Bayern telling them to forget that 50 million for Tel now.
Why we are spending £50M on a 19 yr old is beyond me. We already a few wide players. We either get proven players or get a CD/FB or CM. Not sure we need Tel. His numbers arnt great. Happy to be proven wrong but BM letting him go at 19 may say it all.

Half way beween Tott HAle station and WHL, decent place yeah, met my mate there but cutting it so fine I didnt have time for a pint of the black stuff

When i was going 40 years ago we all used to meet up in the 2 Brewers next door but thats been very different for a long while now

It’s on the street behind the Bluecoats or whatever that’s now called. We only noticed it last year on the walk back up the high street. I’m assuming it’s pretty new but could have just missed it.

Yeah, I haven't looked on here during the game, but I smiled for the first time in a while watching Spurs thanks to the young lads. Nothing is fixed or has changed, but sometimes people just need to enjoy the moment.
Yep totally agree. Can enjoy the win, the goals from the young lads but the first 70 min has prob made me even more worried where we are going. Dreadful stuff.
But were through and dont need to worry about this comp for a few months
