I was at the game last night. Good grief the shelf is quiet and a bit crap isn't it.

Anyway. Truly uplifting to see the young boys get goals. Give them minutes I say. One of Ajayi or Scarlett might just push on and become PL quality. Ajayi's goal was class

Bergvall very good. Guy has a great attitude.

Davies very good.

Big issue ... we are far, far too predictable going forward. Need more through balls. More 1v1s. More back heels. More 1-2s. ETc etc.

Just rewatched the long highlights. Besides recycling possession back to the wings over and over again, our play through the middle of the pitch was almost non-existent.

Somewhat ironic then that all three goals came from interplay through the middle third: driving runs, shooting when presented an opportunity, and an aerial cross. We simply don't test oppo keepers or defence enough with variations in attack - thank fuck for the exuberance of youth.
