Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Amorim said that he’d play 2nd string teams in the league now and bring in a few of the kids and that’s what I want to see from us now . No problem with getting 60 mins into Romero and Vdv , Kulu etc but I don’t want to see him flogging them to death so he can get 14th instead of 17th . 3 game season now and all eggs firmly in the Europa basket .

Aye sure there was a relegation thread at the time and people were tuning into Ipswich and Wolves games hoping they'd lose. Meanwhile we were around 300/1 to be relegated and were never bigger than 5/1 to win the Europa League. Perspective gets lost quick on here.

Impossible for a club like ours to get relegated so it was weird to me people trying to run that gimmick.

Here's Shadydan Shadydan responding to a post about why Amorim went to United and comparing
their situation to ours

- Once in a lifetime opportunity
- One of the biggest clubs in the world
- Not threatened by relegation
- Club backed their last manager heavily

Now work out the same for us.

what??????? you on numerous occasions stated there's absolutely no way we will even be in a relegation fight? you said its laughable that people would even mention that?

🚨 Breaking man changes mind

He stated we were not in a relegation battle for weeks only to change his mind (as he usually does) a few weeks later. His weirdo levels knows no bounds.

To an extent.

We have a big squad, now mostly fit. That means options and it would seem to make sense to take advantage.

The place will be buzzing and I just think that translates to a decent performance, whoever plays.

I don't think Postecoglou or the players will want to see the incredible high of Thursday instantly flattened by a defeat.
Really good point which in principle I agree with. I don't want to see wholesale changes but a few players put in huge efforts Thursday and probably need a rest.

It's been done, more than once and he did well, he suffered a hamstring injury against Manchester City playing that position.

If he’s tucked in as a conventional full back rather than charging into the 8 or 10’positional areas, he might not strain his hammies so much!

Rest a few who put in a big shift at Frankfurt. Davies, Gray, Moore, Biss, Tel as subs.

Feel like Amorim showed his inexperience with those comments

Winning isn’t something you turn on and off with a tap and he’s sent the wrong message,

If you are a senior player and get picked in a lineup with kids, the message you receive is the manager and club don’t care about that game, so you take it easy and probably lose.

Do that a few times it becomes a habit and you can’t get it back when you really want to win.

Have you keep players fit and fresh but you try and pick the best 11 you can every game imo,

Resting guys after Thursday is a necessity but not for all of them.
