Match Tottenham vs Forest Monday 21 April 8pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We had 22 shots, 2.14 XG, 45 touches in their box, they cleared one of the line. I don't know how many crosses we put in.
They could have easily shanked at least two clearances into their own net.

They got lucky. There were plenty of positives to take from that game.

I abuse the team and manager on here when they don't put any effort in and play absymally (which has been a lot this season) But I can also see when we play well and take the positives.

Certain agenda driven people on here are so blinded by the agenda they don't see anything else.
It's always a heartwarming joy to see us gifting the opponents a goal in the first 5 minutes, plus we're incredibly polite, good to see Vicario waving at the ball as he watched the first go in, and then waving at Woods as he nodded the winner into the net.

Thanks, I feel better now

Hard to tell: we played some nice - but ineffective - football. However, we do need to put into perspective that Forest didn’t bother to attack after twenty minutes. It’s hard to judge how much of that is down to us, how much is their choice. I would say, tho, that once Richy scored, the game moved and was played more in our half and was managed by Forest. So, we looked better, but I think Forest flatters is by sitting off.

I thought our new stadium would be a game changer, just not the way I envisaged it.
It has been a game-changer, Levy didn't lie.

We've massively lowered our wage-to-turnover ratio.

Beyonce, NFL, boxing, go karts...we've become one of the UK's top entertainment venues.

Our non-football revenue is off the charts.

We have an exclusive crypto partner. And Paris Baguette.

I don't have the mentality that we are West Spam I suppose and this is a level we should be content with
Nor do I mate. But Levy does, and he is the one that counts in all of this.

We had our chance to push on and challenge for titles, he lucked into a fantastic squad that Paul Mitchell put together on a shoe string budget, plus having a generational talent in Kane. and refused to add the final two or three pieces of the jigsaw. Liverpool added Allison and VVD. The rest is history.

What the last two seasons have underlined to me is that teams still have to manage games based on time and score. Spurs play as if they have the lead right from the opening whistle. One result is they are often down a goal early and most teams naturally have an easier time on defense with the lead. The idea of playing one way until you get the lead and then become more expansive doesn't match how Postecoglou wants to play, but the reality is you can't play the match without adjusting to the situation and opponents. This is the crux of the whole debate over "No Plan B". Getting behind early so consistently also means not salvaging a point as often. Nobody wants a draw, but over a long season you need to keep accumulating points. Give Postecoglou credit for designing an attack that can get a lot of goals, but there are no consolation prizes for most goals in a loss or late goals to draw close.

Maybe Levy should have paid up for Raya, instead of cheaping out. Classic Levy false economy, save a few mil for an unproven Vicario, follow it up with a panic buy of Kinsky for £12 million.
Like I said earlier, Yann Sommer was available for £6million and would have been good for at least 4 seasons, and probably would have been the best keeper in the league.

But Spurs have their stupid transfer rules, so that was a no go

No Johnson for at least 45 mins :ange-arms:

Interesting attack, hoping both wingers stake their claim to stay in the team.

Midfield looks a bit sad. Think we're much weaker with Kulu as our creator than Maddison and Sarr generally doesn't do much.
I expect we'll be a goal down in the second half by the time we bring Madders/Bergvall on to try for the equaliser.

Don't think I've ever cared less about a PL game in my time as Spurs supporter.
Kulu is pants in the midfield creative role. Cannot turn a man like MADDs does.
