I never said it should be. Its not irrelevant when youre playing extra time on a shit surface bringing on players that need to be rested. Its also a pattern of shit performances being confirmed and reinenforced after many this year

Ok so your issue is me agreeing with that but also saying I don’t want managers like Frank and Silva who play counter attacking football like Nuno, Jose and Conte?

Well, I stick by both of them. I want to see us be a team with the mentality to dominate every team we play but I want us to win even when we play shit trying. The win is more important than successful playing the style you want.

If that makes me a hypocrite, then cool I’m a hypocrite and I can live with it

What it shows me is what has been pretty much agreed on here for a while, our forward line needs upgrading.

I'll give Tamworth some credit for the effort they put in, but we really do lack guile up front. That's what the pattern is showing me, fill your box with 8-10 players and our forwards struggle.

Don't get me wrong, we SHOULD have put that tie to bed long before we did, but for me that's because our forwards, particularly our wide players, don't have the skillset to break down those deep blocks and, as a result, cough the ball up far more often than teams that do have players with those skillets. It's the main reason why I think that there, and CB, should be our main focus in the transfer market.
 
To be playing as Spence is now is a real credit to the young fella.

He has been through a long and difficult stretch. Only mental toughness gives you the character to come back much better.

Ange should never have a problem having confidence in this bloke. He's proved his worthy of it.

The poster you agreed with was saying the complete opposite to what you preach in regards to style of play and the importance of Anges style. How you continuously downplay and belittle other styles of play from other managers because it's not pleasing on the eye. The poster you agreed with basically said he couldn't give a single shit about style and only cares about results which he is entitled to hold that opinion. You on the other hand saying that is absolutely laughable but of course you change your stance when we are putting in a shit performance.

In the end of the day, who is responsible for a players performance - the manager or the players themselves? You can be the best manager in the world but if the players aren’t going to put in a shift, that’s down the them. Ange doesn’t strike me as the quite type in the dressing room so you can bet the players got a bollocking at half time. If the players put in an 8/10 today, the game would have been over by half time with or without a manager even there!
