Hopefully he doesn't fly off elsewhere like some other young talented ones have
Touch wood, us showing that he has a path into the first team as long as he keep working hard and improving will make him happy to stick around. I always get the vibe that the youngsters who fuck off prematurely have already bigged themselves up before any of that - luckily Parrott gives the impression of being rather grounded.

Hold on, 'fly off'... I see what you did there...
:sonpoint:

Have heard a lot about this lad. Let’s hope he’s not another one who is over hyped - but a squad number, aged 16, is incredible at a top 4 club.
If you’re good enough, you’re old enough, as the adage goes.
Let’s hope he’s the next academy kid breaking through.

IMO Parrott is an outstanding prospect who we'll almost see next preseason, if not before, but the statement 'The Irish striker is only 16 and already has a first-team squad number at Spurs' is just misleading crap written by someone who clearly hasn't much knowledge of Spurs youth players.

The 'first team' squad numbers are issued to all youngsters who have played in official team matches including matches in Checkatrade Trophy and a selection of his fellow Academy Year 1 player names and squad numbers :

Malachi Walcott (CB), dob 2002 - 70
Luis Binks (CB) dob 2001 - 73
Harvey White (CM/LB) dob 2001 - 72
J'Neill Lloyd-Bennett (wing/striker) dob 2001 - 68

So Troy is not exceptional for his age in being given squad number 71 at his age.

So the tweeter is right to tweet he's an exceptional talent - but not for the reasons he's selected.

Probably tweeted when he was sick as a..........
