We won!

Just admit it you cunts, Ange will supercede Fergie, he just needs a few more seasons to get our defence in order. #Angehasmanyclue
For the 1989–90 season, Ferguson further boosted his squad by paying large sums of money for midfielders Neil Webb, Mike Phelan, and Paul Ince, as well as defender Gary Pallister and winger Danny Wallace. The season began well with a 4–1 win over defending champions Woolwich on the opening day, but United's league form quickly turned sour. In September, United suffered a humiliating 5–1 away defeat against fierce rivals Manchester City. Following this and an early season run of six defeats and two draws in eight games, a banner declaring, "Three years of excuses and it's still crap ... ta-ra Fergie." was displayed at Old Trafford, and many journalists and supporters called for Ferguson to be sacked.

Hate to kick a man when he's down or to scapegoat any player but my main takeaway from that game is that Dragusin is just not good enough. We can't build up with him. He either passes it back or kicks it away. I actually found myself sighing every time the ball came to him because I knew that was the end of our build up. I'd have him well behind Ben Davies and Archie Gray in the CB pecking order now and can't see him playing much once VDV are Romero are back. He's just nowhere near this level on the ball. He's a bag of nerves. Good defender, physical and good in the air but useless with the ball at his feet and he can't play at this level at all.

I personally have never heard Ange asking CDMs to cover for FBs on forward runs. Are you sure he has said that's part of the method?

Why would he say that? You want him to openly talk about the positional rotations in his tactics? which journalist would even ask that question?

But if you watch the FBs when they invert and play high, then watch who is in the positions they have left, I'm pretty sure I see it being the 6 or 8 on that side, unless they are out of position and the CB goes but then the 6 should rotate into the space left by the CB.

IF Elfsborg league starts on 16.2
they play ogc nizza and tottham while there league is on winter break

I don't know what happened for that goal but what SHOULD happen when he inverts and stays high, is the CMs rotate.

I think you're talking about something completely different here.

On both occasions our full backs didn't invert, I'm just talking about when they pressed and vacated their positions and left a load of space in the channel...the CM's can't do much if the full backs have sprinted out and the ball gets transitioned over quickly, one ball into that channel kills the midfield which happens against Liverpool.

Bro are you joking?

Gray, Dragusin and Porro have played like 1000 competitive minutes in a row
I'm really not. We are not the only team to have such busy schedules. But our players are constantly everywhere covering every blade of grass. Against Tamworth it's the same. It doesn't matter the opponents, we expanded our energy so much with very poor returns recently.

I'm glad we won today. But somehow the frantic nature of our players always in burst of energy is getting me really worried our injured players are not getting back in time to cover our current players, who run risk of getting injured themselves or having performance hit.

My point being we can be a highly pressing team without being so draining. If I'm honest Ange ball is a mess currently with no pacing and rhythm in the game. IMO we are so short in numbers, so all the more we should be pacing ourselves and controlling the throughput. This is what bothers me about Ange at the moment.

Forgot what winning felt like! Better make the most of these 3 days now before reality sets back in.

I'll be dancing away on the positivity thread pretending everything is going to be okay.

Ok- it's supposition then. And perhaps true- but if they really are being coached to do that, my god has it been slow to come about.
