Sorry I didn't realise you and Shadydan Shadydan were 2 and 1.

It was based of me being genuinely pissed about Galatasaray result and I knew then we was on the wrong path and I spoke briefly to shadydan at the time, along with some other dude who's disappeared....Starks

Austin thought the referee was going to apologize for such a stupidly and blandly incorrect call.

We were much more direct and got out in transition more often than usual, so that’s good. Even though I can’t help but think that this was primarily due to playing against a team that made Southampton look like defensive juggernauts.

That being said, we still can’t control matches. They played through us as easily as we did through them, due to us leaving vast spaces between the lines even when we were supposed to be sitting back and staying compact. We just aren’t used to it, for the obvious reason that it’s not a point of emphasis for our manager.

This match was a good example of how Ange envisions football to be played. A high variance end-to-end affair where both teams create good amounts of chances, and the winner is decided by who is more clinical or fortunate in front of the goal. It was us today.

What I described is dangerously close to a coin flip though, and you have no chance of obtaining consistent results with coin flips in the long run. That'll always be Ange's Achilles heel as a manager.

He says the goal is to press and win the ball quickly after we lose it, so that end up dominating possession and creating more chances than the other team. Not a flip of the coin.

Problem is it hasn’t worked out that way and our record is piss poor even though we have a good goal differential. Clearly something is missing.

For the 1989–90 season, Ferguson further boosted his squad by paying large sums of money for midfielders Neil Webb, Mike Phelan, and Paul Ince, as well as defender Gary Pallister and winger Danny Wallace. The season began well with a 4–1 win over defending champions Woolwich on the opening day, but United's league form quickly turned sour. In September, United suffered a humiliating 5–1 away defeat against fierce rivals Manchester City. Following this and an early season run of six defeats and two draws in eight games, a banner declaring, "Three years of excuses and it's still crap ... ta-ra Fergie." was displayed at Old Trafford, and many journalists and supporters called for Ferguson to be sacked.
