Fucking pen pushing, company line spouting GIMP!!

Nah, I think Darren Eales is OK... but he does come across as a little smug in any Champions League draws i've seen him interviewed in!

Re: Loans thread

Can someone please explain Simon Dawkins and Jon Obika to me please??/

Both are continually away on loan (San Jose Earthquakes & Yeovil for the most part)... BOTH have been at the club almost as long as Ledley, and BOTH must be older than Obifami Martins by now!!

So why the hell don't we cut our losses with them, and admit they will never make it at the club... or can Clive Allen STILL see summit in them worth nurturing??

Concercing dawkins, I think the hope is that he takes off in the MLS this season so we can sell him for higher than we would in the past. I've heard he is doing things in San Jose

Dawkins is 24, but Obika is only 21 - younger than Livermore. I think both will leave in the summer.

Re: Loans thread

Dawkins still has a year left on his contract, Obika not so sure - could well be expiring end of this season. I think Obika will be released, he's doing a decent job at Yeovil but even their fans are divided in opinion and they've had him 4 times on loan!

Dawkins is a strange one, San Jose fans are over the moon that they got him for another season but I don't know if that's more to do with the level of that league or not, I had read posts where they are going on about how they should be buying players from the Austrian or Swiss leagues so erm.. yeah.

WOW! Either Dawkins uses a Dry-Wipe board for a Birth certificate, or he was a child prodigy!!

Re: Loans thread

Re Carroll, I think he is always going to be the type of player that is under-appreciated by your average football fan (a bit like Carrick). Mason is probably similar as well, actually - both very technically gifted players who will strive to keep possession.

Re: Loans thread

I think both may be at the wrong clubs Windy. Carroll is in a team which doesn't play possession football, he was brought in to bring that to the team but can't be expected to do it all himself. Mason may get his chance now Millwall seem to be playing the right formation to get Kane performing, injuries haven't helped there.

A few questions I'm looking forward to being answered over the weekend:

Will Falque at least get ON the Southampton bench on the 8th time of asking?

Will Bostock make his way back into the Wednesday squad?

How long will Harry Kane's good form go on for?

Will Tom Carroll lose his place in the team after a perceived series of poor performances?

Will Ryan Mason finally get his chance off the bench for Millwall and get a run of form going?

Will Kudus Oyenuga ever come off the bench for St. Johnstone?

and can we expect Simon Dawkins to start the MLS season with no pre-season games behind him?

Personally I'm looking forward to seeing what Andros Townsend will be doing next for Birmingham after his excellent performance against Derby.

Probably some truth there - Carroll was probably always fighting a losing battle. Still, great that he's getting regular Championship football if not a lot else. Playing regularly in front of big crowds in a competitive league will be a good expereince.

Re: Mason, I am starting to wonder if his constant injuries are going to hamper him. He needs to start to play regularly. I have always been such a big fan of his, though, a really good player.
