Re: Loans thread

Townsend got 15 minutes off the bench tonight. Bostock was again an unused sub.

any talks of a new Ultras event? there's a certaint norwegian lad that'd like to join but needs some serious planning done for it to go through financially and logistically.

Our youngsters are participating in this tournament over the next few days: http://www.u19cup.de/

06 Sa 13:00 New York Cosmos Tottenham Hotspur
09 Sa 16:45 Tottenham Hotspur Fortuna Düsseldorf

Looks like Bentaleb and Coulibaly scored our goals in a 2-0 win over New York Cosmos.

Re: Loans thread

Millwall assistant Joe Gallen has spoken about Kane after he scored the winner against Pompey last night:

"I don't want to talk him up too much because he's decent," he said.

"He's a very good finisher, very good all-round game and we're thankful to Tottenham for letting us have him.

"I think he's going to score lots of goals in his future. He loves football, he loves training - he gets annoyed when we pull him away from finishing training because we're worried he's going to get a thigh strain.

"He's got the lot. We've got to try and make sure we get some points and then we can concentrate on next season. It would be great if we could (sign him permanently)."

Re: Loans thread

Harry Kane won Millwall's young player of the season.

I've completed my blog on David Button for the season. Overall not a bad season, 19 games in total, 17 in the Championship. If we can extend his contract and get him out on a season-long loan at a good Championship side next year or keep him at Spurs and play him in cup games then I can see a good career for him. He's not ready yet as first choice but he shouldn't be more than another season or two away from that if his development continues.

On Friday our u18s drew 4-4 with Loughbrough Uni's team at the opening of their new stadium. This was a good test against a team that plays in the midland alliance league. They were physical across the midfield but lacked any real pace. The conditions were testing as it was lashing down with rain in the second half and very windy through (not that windy)

Was going to do a match report but the excellent Ray lo who contributes on spurs Odyssey has done this far better than I could of. This is below:

From a Spurs point of view there was a couple of players who stood out.

Kevin Stewart - A football playing centre back who on this show has good positioning and strength. He was Captain on the night.

Jack Munns - When given the time his distribution was excellent, he has a low centre of gravity and very comfortable on the ball

Kenneth McEvoy - Star of the show. Tricky and pacy he was the stand out attacking talent on the pitch. Needs to work on this final ball a little

Finally apologies for getting a couple of names wrong on my in game tweets. I wasn't allowed access to a team sheet and some of the players playing weren't listed in the programme. Will do better next time. :wall:

Next Gen confirmed to me on twitter that they are in talks with TV partners to show next seasons games on the tellybox.

Giancarlo Gallifuoco ‏ @giange94
Tottenham trying to offer me a 3 year deal when I can get a 5 year at Woolwich, chelsea or west ham #SeeYouSpurs #MovingOn

What a prick. :bmj:

Re: Loans thread

How many of our Championship loanees can we expect or hope to be loaned out to a Premiership team next season? I don't see many getting that chance. Kane had been linked with Southampton and Caulker might well get another season at Swansea but would it be fair to say that it will be another year in the league below for the likes of Carroll and Lancaster?
