It was said last season that the players would not suffer as much in Ange’s 2nd year. Whilst some players were new it did not explain the high number of injuries. Some like hamstring injuries were due to Ange’s high intensive system but not all. Whether Ange stays or go we have to do better. If Ange stays he must agree to tweak his system not necessarily as much as recent Europa matches but we cannot continue with the openness at the back relying on VDV to get back to cover the ball over the top from opposition.

Belgium only get 1 spot as far as I can tell, and Union Saint-Gilloise are in the frame for that with 1 match left to play. How do Club Brugge get in if that's the case? Their removal would put us into pot 2.

Edit: Ah, Brugge finishing 2nd means they would be in the final qualifying round, so fingers crossed for USG next weekend and a bad draw for Brugge.

I think if Chelsea drop points and Villa/Forest get CL we would move to pot 2 too. Doesn't make a massive difference either way, still have to play 2 from each pot anyway

UNBELIEVEBLE - BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE EXCEPT FOR THE BIRTH OF ME TWO KIDS - SAT AT MY DESK, ABSOLUTELY WRECKED BUT STILL BUZZING - CHEERS ALL - UP THE FKN SPURS

In the Manchester office in Tuesday. The Chelsea fan who said ‘it’s going to be rough for you tomorrow’ the day of the final I shall just smile with a giant smug grin at him for the whole day. The Manc fans I will just let it slip in every so often and be more subtle.

'In the past the Europa League winners, i.e. Spurs, would have been put into pot one of the draw - the highest in the competition, meaning they would face what would be weaker opposition, at least on paper.

Now in the new format, they are put into pot two so have an increased pool of tougher sides, again at least on paper, who they can draw.'

Suits me fine.

I want us to play the best of the best.

After careful consideration, I now think that Mr Wenger is correct in his assertion that the EL winners should not participate in the CL. And will vote this change through for next season.

If only...... the mother of all fuckjng meltdowns.
