Has VAR Ruined Football?

Yet another VAR farce. I won't use the word laughable because it's nothing laughable about match fixing by the officials themselves.
Again, no one can convince me that VAR in the EPL is NOT corrupted.
How come that with just one look at the reply a person with no ref experience easily can see that it was never a corner 🤔

They aren’t allowed to intervene in decisions like that…..so what’s the fucking point of it.

Going to get some laughs when this is introduced to the Prem

I remember reading an article expressing exactly what we thought VAR would eradicate , namely the WTF moments in football like when the whole world saw the Zidane headbutt but the ref didn't.

But instead we got ruled out goals and ten minute waits for offside toenails.

I suppose the timeless message in life is if you give overly official little pricks too much power they will ruin things.

Always.

I think we underestimated the mindset of referees and gave them far too much unoposed authority.

There NEEDS to be fans/fan groups involved in deciding what is and isn't checked and how it's checked. We can't allow refs to referee the fun out of games. Equally, once a routine for what they do is approved by all parties, they cannot be allowed to get it "wrong"
Incidents like the Diaz goal being ruled out should be a major discipline issue. You can (just about) accept a ref dropping a a bollock live but there's absolutely no excuse for 3 guys with slow motion replays to ever get a decision wrong.

They didn't get the slow motion replay wrong, they said it should have counted but fucked up communicating it. Pretty sure they were disciplined and then they changed the process so that won't happen again.

Var will always take away more than it gives back. Case in point those who said it would stop diving in the area when it's increased as any contact now means it might be given

That was one example off the top of my head. VAR have got a lot wrong since its inception.

They're boasting that mistakes are down. There shouldn't BE mistakes.

And that is with them "marking their own homework"

The general public would say there has been a hell of a lot more than 13 mistakes, but all comes back to the way they judge "referees call" where lots of fouls are given for significantly less than they are not given for, but they say all of those decisions are right.
