It’s just ridiculous that the above situation can’t be flagged as offside. Yes there are lots of things that could be done to reduce risk, but what they’ve done here is increase it. Needlessly and with very little upside.Come on man, how often has there ever been a life threatening injury caused by a non given offside? Like 1 in about a trillion non offsides?
If football wanted to prevent serious injuries, there’s hundreds of rules they could worry about before getting to non given offsides. They could start by making the goal posts out of jelly. Then stop players heading the ball.
