I don’t think he’s deliberately fucking things up, ex Gooner or not, but he needs to step up now and show us what he’s about.
After all, he’s a businessman and as such he’s not going to be wanting anything but success for who he works for now, so I’d suggest any talk of sabotage is probably wide of the mark. I’m a businessman and happily working on a deal for my company with Chelsea right now. Club tribalism stops when it comes to this.

I think he's going to be one of those career CEO's who go to New jobs for 2-3 years, get sacked, huge payout, on to the next. Once you're in the boys club, life is cushy, you can fail upwards.
