We were in 4th, a point off 3rd place in the table, when Paratici's departure was announced (ref 11v11 league table generator)

It is actually Munn's arrival that has coincided with a complete deconstruction of 20+ years of steady progress

But it takes time for shit like this to hit. Gil, Royal, Bentancur, Kulusevski, Sarr, Richarlison, Udogie, Longlet, Forster, Peresic, Danjumma, Spence, Bissouma, Porro, Romero

How many of his 15 signings would you say - two years after he left - should be nailed on starters/first 15 for a team wanting to challenge for top 4?

Romero? Porro? (and neither of those are great box defenders).

Arguments like that don't work, because they're being made off the back of collective shit performances that warp the quality of the individual.

Certain Kulusevski and Bentancur. Sarr is certainly going to be one of the top european midfielders (if he doesn't spend much more time under this coach). Danjuma was a quality signing that Conte refused to play so we can't judge that. Porro, aside from his burnout this season, was linked with a move back to City to replace Walker. Udogie has been linked with top CL teams.

Trying to link this shitfest to Paratici, and certainly to our players, is a huge stretch. It baffles me that they seem to supportive of a manager that is diluting their careers.

Well let's be clear. A team wanting to challenge for top 4 is going to spend a lot more money than that group. You're throwing stopgap loan punts in there.

Romero, Porro, Udogie, Spence, Sarr, Bentancur and Kulusevski is a decent start to a football team.

We spent considerably more on Sanchez, Aurier, Reguilon, Sessegnon, Hojbjerg, Ndombele and Bergwijn the prior few years to fulfill the same roles.

It was a dramatic shift.

If Vinny carries on like he did at The Woolwich we are in for quite a few interviews about transfer plans and fan involvement , quite a few snips on youtube.
Assume he will also be taking over DMC role in the FAB meetings with fan reps.
