His position has been untenable since he failed to react to Frank having us in freefall in November. It was always going to be a struggle from that point. His inability to make a hard decision nearly cost us dearly. Lange is probably even more accountable but it doesn’t change the fact Vinai also needs to go

Once we accept that (like with Levy) it will be the Lewis's holding the purse-strings; then Lange leaving would stand to have the far greater impact on the pitch.... So long as Lange is replaced with a strong, alpha DOF to work in harmony with RDZ; VV will just linger around being the Lewis kid's little corporate gimp.

Our lack of competent since the stadium. was built is breath taking. I used to be let’s get a proper structure etc and then when we did we hired idiots like Lange. At this point I don’t know if it would be better to trust De Zerbi on the squad rebuild. Ideally we get a De Zerbi level sporting director but can we do that, I hope we can.

We must... Otherwise we'll continue to fumble.

The game's too big for the manager to get all that done these days.......

DOF needs to run all the scouting, negotiations, juggle all the crap from upstairs, worry about sales, wages, contracts yada yada...... It's not just putting together a shopping list.

They need to do Lange more public. Someone has to carry the can for the awful decision making otherwise it won’t look like we have learned anything. It needs to be made unacceptable for this to happen.

Nothing personal against Lange but the club need to make it clear we have standards.

I am sure he would do the job brilliantly. He is intelligent, he has the connections and he understands the club. Compared to the herberts running the club right now he is massively over-qualified.

We have a Technical Director who thinks it is OK to bring in a manager from a mid-table club who plays kick and rush football and tries to win with long throws. He thought that would sit well at Tottenham.

I really really hope so. I just have a feeling Vinai won't do it (which is another reason he too should be sacked).

Again, powerful people don't always show what they're going to do so obviously and wouldnt necessarily read too much into it..

I suspect that Lange is far more likely to be fired out of a cannon. Lange is the one in charge of running the football side of the club whilst Vinai is meant to run the entire operation.
 
V and L should have a fight to see who is more to blame for this atrocious season. The winner then is allowed to walk away. Want them both gone asap. the fans will never trust them after this season.
