Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I dont think the training ground has anything to do with the culture

Just as it being luxurious or whatever doesnt make players lazy

Culture comes from leadership, not surroundings

Better equipment and facilities is no bad thing at all - how it is used, how people are expected to behave is what is the important part
Next people will say it’s bcos our training facilities are shit that’s why we are rubbish.

The guy is fighting for his job. He's supposed to be a master communicator who couldn't even put a message in Sunday's programme, after months of radio silence.

His first year was almost punctuated by relegation.

He puts together a puff piece blaming everyone else, when he should be tendering his resignation.

He's deflecting cos he has to. And you're falling for it.

Who cares about a shitty message in the programme. I'd much rather he gives a 15 minute video interview ffs.

I swear, some of the shit you guys are moaning about is ridiculous.

If he sacks Lange, and we get an elite SD in, Vinai will be fine, we'll probably never need to worry about him. At least he isn't Levy.

We have a horrible group at the helm. Almost everything has been finger pointing, sudden stunning realizations of institutional problems, inquests, and promises of action. All PR bullshit, and bad PR bullshit at that.

They have no credibility and no amount of letters or sentiments will fix that. The only thing that can is action and they can start with Lange.
Did any of them even set any targets or ambitions like we want to win the PL in the next 5 years. We want major trophies. Play in CL every season. Where was any of the talk about actually winning things.

What the fuck is this?

Just trying to soften the bad decision he made in hiring Frank?

Still oblivious to just how bad Frank was?

"Dealt a bad hand" - Im sick of hearing all this "there are problems" spiel without them actually saying WHAT

Best I can tell Frank was given more support than any manager in the last 20 years - and he fucked it
Dealt a bad hand bs never heard him say that when Frank joined. Oh btw we have hired Frank a top coach but he has been dealt a bad hand so hopefully he can make the most of it. Didn’t hear vv say anything of the sort at the time.

I care cos he provided us with the shittiest season I can remember! He doesn't get to pre-record a nonsense video message expecting me to forget that, when I think it's a disgusting mark of his character that he hasn't quit.

He doesn't get to sit in the stadium after overseeing the most stressful and miserable seasons of my lifetime, laughing and joking while I'm pacing around with anxiety hoping we hang on to our Premier League status.

He doesn't get to excuse himself for the Frank fuck up when he not only employed him, but he also then stuck with him when everyone else knew where he was taking us.

He doesn't get to plaster the name of my beloved football club underneath a picture of him smiling in front of the Woolwich logo.

I want a CEO who understands Tottenham Hotspur.

I want a CEO who bleeds Tottenham Hotspur.

I want a CEO who sets that standard for everyone else in the football club.

So no I don't think what I'm asking is 'ridiculous'!

I'll also add, that when people say he skirted around the issue about not signing enough players in January, I think that was because to do so would implicitly involve throwing Lange under the bus. And if you notice, he didn't mention Lange once in that interview.

Lange's days are numbered for sure.

Blaming Vinai for this season when Levy was only sacked in September is laughable sorry. The wheels were set in motion on this decline long before Vinai arrived.

None of us are football CEOs, but it baffles me who these people can't just say human things.
"We didn't expect to have the injury issues we had. In retrospect, we should have added depth but it can harm the summer window if we make transfers in the winter window that don't fit our long term plans"

perhaps followed by "of course we did bring in a loan player at the start of the season, but on that evidence it's clear that adding loan players can be worse than not signing anyone if they are an expensive fucking waste of skin"

How long is it until we stop blaming Levy then?

It's gonna be our version of the Coutinho money innit?

Do you genuinely think we can blame Levy up until September, and then the day he leaves, we instantly start blaming Vinai. It's so ridiculous, come on.

The club has been allowed to decline, it's been happening since Poch left. We've been getting shitter and shitter. Last season we finished 17th and and lost 22 league games, Vinai wasn't even at the club. To look at seasons in total isolation is stupid.

And we can all be sure, that Frank was a Levy hire. Levy was still at the club over the summer when Frank was hired, does anyone seriously believe Levy was sidelined in those summer months, and the final decision to hire Frank wasn't Levys? To believe so, would be to go against everything we know about how Levy ran the club.

Levy controlled everything and made every final decision. To hire Frank would have been his and his alone. Levy was blindsided when he was sacked. He had no idea. He went to the training ground, had a morning meeting with Charrington which he thought was routine, and then sacked and told to leave the training ground. He didn't even have time to take his stuff with him.

I get the season has been a shit show and fans want someone to blame,. and that man is obviously Vinai. But for me this season was far more down to Levy than anyone else.

The time to judge Vinai will be over the coming seasons.

I agree, that would have been the straight forward answer. I do think the reason he skirted around it completely, was because as he alluded to, we will never be a club where executive non football people are making technical decisions on football matters, which is exactly what was happening under Levy.

So I think he steered away from commenting on it, but intrinsically that is a question for Lange. Why did Lange decide we didn't need any players? I think Vinai couldn't answer it, because to do so truthfully would be to throw Lange under the bus.

I think it might be viewed at the club, that Lange fucked up the January window, big time and it almost cost us relegation.

Oh Levy played his part. I'm not absolving him of blame.

But I can absolutely blame Vinai too.

Levy isn't here to hold accountable anymore. And the people that are shouldn't be allowed to move all their blame onto him.

I'm pretty confident that Levy would have sacked Frank when he should have been sacked. Vinai hanging on to him so long was a major reason it went down to the wire.

That's on Vinai.

As much as I liked him, Tudor didn't help us.

That's on Vinai.

So yes Levy still lingers but it doesn't mean we don't hold the current lot accountable.

It's mad isn't it 😆

Levy runs the whole show for a quarter of a century, winning just 2 trophies and leaving the club in 17th position, having just lost the most matches in one season for over 100 years.....

And apparently he's blameless for the shit that unfolds over the 8 months that follow his long overdue sacking.

Honestly man. Don't anyone ever tell me again he wasn't a cult icon for some of these freaks.

If he's going to open his stupid gob though, he should know the reasoning. If he doesn't know why Lange didn't do it, he shouldn't be CEO.

For example, I think that Levy and Venkatesham would be well within their remit and step in if the manager is not getting the right support from the Sporting Director if his reasons are not valid. For example, if Lange couldn't close a deal the CEO shouldn't stand back and watch us miss out. This is the reason why, apparently, Levy had to step in to use his contacts at Slavia to get Kinsky over the line, and to get Porro over the line too. IF the CEO follows this guide, he should be capable of answering the question.

Good leadership is delegation and responsibility, rather than simply blindly sharing out tasks after all

The words he uses in the club interview are literally identical to those in his BBC one. Probably spent days practicing his lines in the mirror. Completely bland scripted corporate bilge.

Nope. Once again you are trying to say posters are incapable of nuance...just because you are.

Most sensible comments I've seen on here and elsewhere, accept that Levy has left problems that Vinai needed to deal with.

However, Vinai has done nothing tangible to correct them and has added his own mess to the pile.

Under the watch of Vinai, not Levy, we almost got relegated.

Both are at fault. One has gone. The other should go.
