Match Vissel Kobe vs Tottenham Hotspur pre-Season

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Odd mistake still but some of the moves of Bergvall looked insane. Moore is a special talent too. Donley and Spence are looking bright. Gray is ready to play a part. I like the look of Lankshear, it's exactly the type of player that will suit our style, very nearly scored from that over hit pass, most wouldn't bother to attack that ball at all. Good movement.

There's fundamental misunderstanding among some fans about what Brennan is expected to do.

Brennan is not supposed to be some dribbling, creative genius off the flank. He's doing exactly what Ange wants his wingers to do.

Commit to runs behind the opposing defence, play in crosses and cut backs, and make runs in the box to attempt to tap it in on the far post.

Brennan is doing what is being asked of him and people are dunking on him for it.
Most of his critics don't really know much about football.

Possibly he is slightly better physically and a match technically. I think in the past the criticism has been concentration, ie the mental aspects but he looks much more focused as a player now. At least we have depth whatever happens.

Spence has always had insane natural talent but so did Ndombele who had the skills of Modric and Xavi but the work ethic of Homer Simpson. I don’t think Spence was a case of work ethic so much as concentration when defending, hopefully Italy sorted him out.
Don't think Spence has the same quality as Porro. He wouldn't get the goals/play the same killer passes like Porro but he's a better dribbler and probably a better 1v1 defender.

Yeah see how much involvement he had in 30 mins vs Johnson's 60 and how much more fluid and inventive our whole attack was.

But no, the G/A nonces will bury their heads in the sand because he squared a ball to Son.
The word inventive sums it all up. Bergvall,Donley and Moore all inventive and look to make runs, take players out the game with going by players and clever touches that opens the game up. These are the type of players we need. We add a winger and a very good centre forward and we will improve massively from last season.

Gray is a fantastic player already. He has experience of being a first team player and plays the game like an experienced pro. He wants to pass forward first before going sideways,he’s aggressive at winning it back and is very mobile. This is exactly what we need in a midfield player. Bergvall exact same but he has more class and looks like he has that vision and killer pass. What a difference from Hojbjerg and Skipp.
The one player who looks like he might be in trouble this season to play as regularly as last season is Sarr. Both Gray and Bergvall can do what he does but so much more.

All in all it’s been very good seeing these young guys and the next couple of games will tell us how close they are to being involved when the season starts. The first team boys will return and the game time of who’s going to have a chance of starting will increase from now.

Fuck all the money crap; but Europa is perfect for our squad development needs this season......

Spence
Dragusin
Gray
Sarr
Bergvall
Johnson
+ Whatever youth graduates can stick around.

.....Should all benefit greatly.

You missed Archie's first half, all class as well. He looked a little lost in the second half at DM (was CB in first half).
No he never in anyway look lost. He was excellent in there. Gave the ball away a couple of times but what do you want to see. Guys like skipp and Hojbjerg play no risk football or guys like gray and Bergvall?

The way him and Bergvall rotated from the 8 to the 6 was very very good. Loved watching them. Every pass is positive and both will become a much better option than Biss and Sarr.

Yes, didn't look great in the middle (and gave it away for their equaliser) - but can't really judge on 10 minutes of adapting after playing CB.

Hopefully he gets a whole half there in our next game atleast
I don’t agree with that mate. He was very good in there. The only thing he done wrong was give the ball away for the goal. He’s taking a risk in a pre season game and that’s got be accepted.

Went to watch this on spurs play just now and it’s disappeared? No sign of it at all! I had it paused ready to go on kick off, but come back 10 mins later and nothing… annoying, was looking forward to it.

Devine is absolutely ready for premiership football and I've thought this for a while. Moore and Donely look v.good as
well in addition to Gray and Bergvall who also look ready.
All look good but need to see them when properly pressed. Gray miss controlled in 2nd half when put under slight pressure and didn't protect the ball in an attempt to recover - they scored as a consequence. Devine too when he was pressed (out wide) he hurried his pass which went straight to oppo.

I've watched a bit of Devine previously and not a lot of the others, but before we can lay claim to them being ready it would be good to see them put under a lot of pressure, closed down immediately when they receive the ball etc...They will most likely be the targets (weak links, if not technically but also mentally) by the oppo if selected.

For context though compared to players like Tripps, Sisoko, Reggie etc, who were garbage when pressed they are way above them already. I guess it's mostly my side not knowing their game well enough to be bold enough to make that shout.
