Match Vissel Kobe vs Tottenham Hotspur pre-Season

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Fascinating watching youngsters display more natural understanding of what Ange wants.

Looked much more fluid.

Better core technical skillset for it - midfield to front, especially - it would seem.

Interesting to observe.

Also interesting that there was more cohesion in getting back and defending after turnovers.

Some really nice play in the first half, but from 60+ on, our game just flowed and time flew watching it.

Let's see how they do with the sterner tests ahead.

Nice, hot, sweaty workout.

No injuries.

All good.

Yeah see how much involvement he had in 30 mins vs Johnson's 60 and how much more fluid and inventive our whole attack was.

But no, the G/A nonces will bury their heads in the sand because he squared a ball to Son.
This is the thing we have fans who see that but ignore the rest of the game. In the PL when there is no space to run into then what happens?

Yes, didn't look great in the middle (and gave it away for their equaliser) - but can't really judge on 10 minutes of adapting after playing CB.

Hopefully he gets a whole half there in our next game atleast
Think Ange needs to play some of the youngsters in their normal position. We need to see donley play where he normally does and want to see more of gray at RB and in the DM role. Thats why we bought him so give him a chance where his best suited.

Enjoyable watch that, lots of talent coming through, hope we can get them some playing time,

Nice to see Spence tracking back hard, penny's dropped hopefully.

What's the consensus on Abbot? Is he good enough potentially? Not seen him before.

And what's happened to Dorrington? Is he injured?
Surely better bet long term than Davies who is too slow.

Think the issue is in the first half BJ offered nothing as we just kept passing it around they were in their positions. However when someone actually looks up and sees the space like Porto did and make the quick pass over then BJ is good. Unfortunately this happens on too few occasions. To utilise his main asset we ever need to play the ball quicker forward or have overlaps and slide balls throw between FB and CB. I reckon gray could be the main the middle to spray those passes.

First goal was made by a great pass from Gray to Kulusevski
Kulusevski dinks round a couple of players sees Johnson and plays great one- two with him after moving into space, Johnson perfectly weighted pass to Kulusevski who backheels to Porro
Porro still has to round a Japanese player before scoring.

Great team goal

2nd half, Johnson on a fine wingers run up the right, gets ahead of his marker.
Low cross in front of goal for Son to meet on the far side, and Son doesn;t miss these.

Nothing wrong with Johnson as our right winger - was in right place twice to be very much involved in the first two goals.

Still only 22, so I'm expecting some improvement but he's still a very worthwhile player to have at Spurs, fits Ange's style of play very well

Looks like Ange is beginning to thin out the squad a tad. Worrying times for the likes of Scarlett and Veliz, particularly Scarlett. I think he’s probably one we let go on a free when the time comes.

The opportunities only dry up more as we get closer to Leicester. Ange will surely want his first team logging a significant amount of the game time come the first Munich match.

Scarlett only 20, Veliz coming up t 21.

Likely both loaned out- hopefully better chosen loans for both than last season.

One or even both could still make it at Spurs, even assuming Lankshear does as we will need several forwards ourselves over next 18/24 months. I don't think moving on need to be in the conversation for at least another 12 months.

Parrott already 22, and a little unlucky to have the trio of Veliz, Scarlett and Lankshear (in age order) hot on his tail otherwise I think he might have stayed to add depth/option in early EL matches
