3 years ago me and the missus went to California for our honeymoon, and happened to be in LA at the time Spurs were away at Stoke. If I go to the pub I'll watch it with the LA Spurs at the Greyhound in Highland Park. Outstanding group to watch games with. I only get to watch a handful of games a season there because of games being on so early out here on the west coast and living about 40 minutes away from the pub.
I've been half-ass trying to get a new group together to form the Inland Empire Spurs. If any guests/lurkers are from the Inland Empire in California then hit me up!
Having heard good things about LA Spurs we got a cab to the Kings Head II (the pub that was their previous regular for watching games) at 7am, and found about 30 odd others, a good mix of Americans and ex-pat Brits, in there. More arrived as the game went on and it was a great atmosphere, everyone was really friendly and keen to hear about how we came about being there. We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. They even wanted photos with us in front of their flags, which was a bit weird, but in a nice way.
We ended up staying with them for quite a few hours afterwards, and were pretty pissed by lunch time due to drinking since 7am. Walking up to the Griffith Observatory in the searing afternoon heat later on that day was tough...
I'd highly recommend looking them up to anyone who find themselves in LA when we've got a game
