Wearing replica shirts

I find the whole replica shirt thing a bit too 'Northern' as it is. Buying a fake one is even weirder.

It is. They look awful on the best of folk. It’s an abomination that they’re deemed suitable as everyday wear by some. I still stupidly buy them though (!) with a view that one day, one season, a shirt might become memorable and glorious. I also have a dream that when I retire I’ll have a bar / pool room with them all nicely laid out and framed. Not quite sure what I’m thinking. Who’d want to reminisce about e.g. Conte’s second season, the quite nice green shirt NDombelly wore, the endless years of falling short etc etc.

I'd buy one to frame exactly as you state.

I have a Holsten one that I wear to bed sometimes. And a 60's one that I wear happily as it's essentially a polo shirt.

I refuse to wear anything with red on it let alone a Spurs shirt. The club wanking themselves into a lather about the lack of red fire extinguishers need to extract the digit.

I do still wear my scarf from the 2007 season members‘ tin and it’s still great quality. It’s pretty discrete too. I do have the white and Blackburn shirts from that season too but have never worn one and only wore the white to the launch of the Opus at the millennium dome. When I was a kid I treated myself to an Andy Warhol style Linekar T-shirt but sacked that once I thought I was too cool for it (uni). Bar that can’t really get on wearing shirts - but did get a small spurs tattoo when I was 18 so guess I’m always wearing club gear 🤣🙄

I can't bring myself to buy any of the modern day shirts, but I do have a very nice 1987 Fluminese Home jersey that I wear occasionally as a 'fashion piece' (c*nt, cough).

Even something that is 37 years old has better quality stitching and trim than any of the new synthetic crap.

Saw a video (maybe it was on here) of a guy holding a Citeh and United shirt, both £80, and absolutely dogs dinners in terms of needle work and hand craft.

The 2022-23 Spurs home shirt is looking quite nice these days though, so maybe another 'fashion piece' (again..c*nt, cough)

About to out myself ( well more so ) as a right cunt on here. I own 47 Spurs shirts - 46 of which are aways and thirds. I like collecting them and wear them to go running in (another tick in the cunt column).

Point blank refuse to wear them at the pub - don’t want that bother and only wear them to a game if it’s cold and I can stick something on top. Otherwise, they are only visible when running or just for wearing round the house.

A couple of Favourites are the Black and Grey Blackburn style, the cosmic kit, and the Green and blue CL semi kit.

I buy Spurs shirts and I’m of the age where I really shouldn’t for reasons giving too old, it’s a kids thing etc but if I wear them they’re under a jumper or a sweatshirt ……I know I’m wearing tottenham, sad I know and get a bit self conscious but then I mind a couple guys at work fully grown up adults dress up as darth vada & a stormtrooper and attend comic-cons all round the country …..

wearing a little old Tottenham shirt is no that big a deal…….

Matchdays.... Chillin' at home.......When exercising..... Don't see the fuss tbh.....

Never been into player names and numbers though... Even when i was a kid.

................Just don't go full-kit-wanker.

Only ever bought 4 shirts with a name on them mainly because I couldn't believe he actually played for us. Went to the shop every year for the 4 he was here
