Werner to start, he will run their legs off. Then Son on at 65 to finish.
It's definitely worth a try, but there's this self-inflicted problem of Son being captain, so if he's going to play at all, it seems they believe he has to start.

The other option is to invent a 'touch & go' injury for Sonny, so he doesn't have to start - but then he makes a miraculous recovery after half time and can be brought on.

Poor old Sonny - he even looks knackered when he walks onto the pitch. Strikers are always saying how hard it is when they're in a bad patch, but Son seems to feel it 10 times worse than most. I just desperately hope the good times return, at least one more time before he leaves us.

Why is this even a fucking question?

Son has 10x more ability in his little finger than Werner ever had had. He isn't playing well right now because he is physically cooked...he even shouldn't have been playing as much as he did coming up to Xmas...the club has flogged him.

Werner has 0 excuse, he's barely played but he's shit and will always be shit.

Voted for Timo. Because I cannot figure out a way that Ange might get Son to work again.

At least Timo has pace and can cause a problem. Son does a couple of shimmies each game, try’s to cut across and that’s really about it. Bloody sad to see his current form.
I was thinking about this the other day

Maybe give Sonny ago at RW with Kulusevski at R8 as Kulu pulls out wide like he does, sonny can go inside and be closer to goal and Solanke, that way he can cut in and shoot or attack the back post from a Werner cross. It doesn't leave him isolated on the flank unable to beat his man.

Johnson does this when kulusevski plays R8 he drifts inside...

Think this could be good for sonny would put our best finisher closer to goal and closer to Solanke who creates space around him

Sack the miser and these pointless debates can be cancelled.

Son is being asked to play more games than he is capable of performing in at the highest level, as a 32 year old, because Werner is the only player the miser was prepared to offer Ange as an alternative.

Ange wanted Neto.

He got Odebert & Werner on loan.

Everytime Son has played as a RW he's been missing, doesn't affect anything at all - Johnson would at least score goals and get in the box.
Yeah I get what you're saying but I think with Kulusevski playing right 8 and Sonny RW moves him inside as Kulu goes out.

The problem with moving Son out to the right is that you're taking away from his natural game which is cutting in and scoring, he needs to play as a inside left close to the goal really of as part of a 2 man strikeforce.

Seeing as it all feels a bit experimental right this mo and we've invested in them, then I'd like to see one of the youngsters have a pop. Is Moore back now? Or try Yang out there and see what he's got (he can play on the left?). Give Son a break and use him as an impact sub.
