We never got out of 2nd gear.
Obviously they were going to come out differently second half.
Bilic is fighting for his life, and they their pride.
We didn’t pick it up.
I don’t like losing against these cunts, but then again they beat Chelsea last season in the same competition. It’s the only time they fight.
I think we have better priorities.
We have players like Dembele and Rose making their comebacks. Davies coming back from illness. Can’t see them giving it blood and thunder stuff so soon.
A back 3 that has never played a competitive game with each other.
We just didn’t want it bad enough otherwise we would have ruined them first half instead of treating it like a training match.
Gutted to lose against this lot, but we have more important stuff to worry about.

The worst case of complacency ive seen since Newcastle away. Shocking second half performance. Poch totally fucked up with the subs as well, if anyone can explain them to me id be grateful
 
Fucking disappointing as all hell. Those players should feel embarrassed by this. Let's hope this is at least some kind of wake up call against further complacency in the upcoming tougher games.

Well that’s embarrassing. At least we got that out of our system in the League cup, because that was a pretty awful the second half.
 
Disappointing, but hardly heartbreaking. This cup is a bit of a joke these days. Even if we’d won it nobody would have given a fuck. It should be for football league clubs only.

Like others, not disappointed about having a January to rest up before CL last 16, but am disappointed to a) throw away a 2 goal lead with some atrocious defence and b) to that bunch of pikey cunts

I want that match on hard loop before our first team play them at home next year and we do a Leicester on them

Btw, anyone see their fans with seats ripped out in their hands? Twats vandalising the national stadium, maybe they got overexcited as they could actually see their team rather than sit in a different time zone....
 
Must admit, quite disappointed at the disrespect of a cup competition, regardless of it's prestige from some of the people in this thread.

Those dismissing the cup have ZERO right to ever say "This club and group of players need to win something" - it's known that this cup is the 'easiest' competition to win due to the fact that others like to rest their players and fewer rounds.

In the end it's the manner of the loss and not the result. I think we all feel the same way, honestly - had we lost this game 0-3 we'd all be laughing at how they won their bonus cup final in the shit cup we don't even want to play in - but to concede 3 and lose after going up 2-0...thats a kick in the gut.

The biggest negative is we're still struggling to close out games against shit competition - that's where we've dropped so many points the past couple of seasons. We really need to figure out how to see games like this out.
 
We either don't give a shit... or we believed the 5 minutes of hype the press decided to give us.. . We totally strolled out at half time thinking the game was won... more fool us.

Dele and Son's soppy little pre-rehearsed handshake routine looks a bit stupid now... in fact, I'd rather they ditch it altogether now.

TalkSport's biased wankfest commentary didn't help.. . But fuck it. Mickey Mouse cup apparently... though I for one wouldn't have minded winning it... it's not beneath me!
