West Ham - League cup game

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Look in the grand scheme of things CL and CL qualification are far more important than a league cup.
Wet ham could go down and win it, what would they rather have,

I’d like to think we can win all cups and finish in the top 3 whilst having a great CL run, but it ain’t going to happen.
We have a decent squad, but it’s not capable of doing so.
We move into our new gaff next year, and like it or not, CL is much more important.
I’d like to win a trophy, of course.

We are clearly getting complacent as we did not defend well for their first two. Hard to say about the third one.
Dembele is bringing back the steel to the team, but we really should have had Llorente presence at the end.
Its honestly speaking really embarassing, i thought i never see such collapse in our game anymore.
Foyth looks really good though.

well that was a reality check for us... great first half but one of the worst 2nd half performances i have seen from THIS spurs team.

One good thing, i was starting to get very confident about the United game at the weekend, not now.

Would you guys rather we play another pointless 30 extra minutes and risk injury/fatigue to our players when we've got FA and CL this season? I'm not saying don't be mad at the loss but certainly don't lose sleep. If anything hopefully this wakes up the player for Saturday.

Outplayed? Moment of class that wins it?

Nah.

We were OUTFOUGHT, by West fucking Ham. A team that not even a week ago got smashed at home against Brighton ffs.

Dele Alli, Toby Alderweireld, Kieran Trippier, Son Heung Min - these all started and smashed Liverpool. Then we also have the experience of Llorente. The best left back in the country in Danny Rose. We weren't playing youth players, fuck we didn't even have one youth player in the squad (Besides KWP who's played first team football) and they BULLIED us in that second half.

We better have something up our sleeve on Saturday.

The worst case of complacency ive seen since Newcastle away. Shocking second half performance. Poch totally fucked up with the subs as well, if anyone can explain them to me id be grateful

This is worse. We weren't 2-0 up in that one. 1 more round and then it's the semi. Just played like we didn't care second half. I'm really fucked off. This was a great chance to win something

And there it starts: "We just beat Spurs 2-3 in the Cup at Wembley

"
These guys are true idiots, thinking this was a cup final. I would like to see their faces when they find out tomorrow that they will play Man City at Etihad in the next round

You were the first to say what a strong line up it was. Who was disrespecting this cup?

The players by performing the way they did in the second half - as well as half the people in this thread.

It was a strong line up and one that I'd expect to compete with Man Utd if we put the same line up out on Saturday, in a competition that the players respect and fight for.

Must admit, quite disappointed at the disrespect of a cup competition, regardless of it's prestige from some of the people in this thread.

Those dismissing the cup have ZERO right to ever say "This club and group of players need to win something" - it's known that this cup is the 'easiest' competition to win due to the fact that others like to rest their players and fewer rounds.
The point of neglecting this shit cup has been stated recently - it's only seen as worthy if United or the like win it. Won it in 08 and it did fuck all, still lost players, still sacked a manager, still got laughed down about having won a trophy. That's generally how it goes regardless of who wins it, again, unless it's United's ilk.

Like it or not, it's now truly a tinpot that does nothing for the club, players, or managers. Only the supporters get anything out of it, and that's only until they tell a mate who will immediately take the piss out of them for bragging about it.

Fold the cup, take the PL teams out, whatever is needed - but it's truly just a calendar constipating clogger at this point.

and the Wembley hoodoo will be back.
It's not a hoodoo... It's us thinking a game lasts 45 minutes, not the full 90...4

Bollocks to it. We are put down worst enemy sometimes...
But when you think how ill-deserved ArseaNal and Man Citys wins were last night... makes you wonder why we even bothered turning up.

Tonight hurts. But Forget it. We've GOT TO bounce back on Saturday and prove tonight was a blip that WON'T SUDDENLY derail our season.. . As most of the media seem to now be hoping it does!

Fuck em all!
