West Ham - League cup game

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Surprised people are that bothered. Even if we won this it isn't a huge cup or something respected - sure, it's a trophy but it's a meaningless one. Many teams who have won this in the past have not "gone on to do greater things", so you can't argue that this would have "gave us a winners mentality".

Tonight showed that our squad depth is still lacking and that concentration needs to be better. No one to really bring on from the bench and it was obvious the side put out there and had completely gone off the boil (Tbh this was obvious in the first half. Players didn't press after the second ball and thought they'd done enough). Llorente looks useful but not a goal scorer.

Oh well, three less games to tire us out for a cup I'm not too fussed about us winning. If we beat United I'll be more than happy and resting Kane and Eriksen will be seen as a worth sacrifice.

Hi Joe. I deleted that bit because I thought maybe your threat to punch my face in was out of character and perhaps I'd overreacted.
I do often post when we win. But my passion for Spurs means my natural instinct for using this forum is to vent my anger and dismay at abject performances like tonight. When we win I'm happy. And when I'm happy I don't feel the need to waste my time on here talking to you. When we lose, posting on here relieves my violent tension. There you go. As honest as I can be.

Turn up, shit, leave.... I think you're smart enough to fathom why many object to such behaviour....

As per my reply to Carlito, treat your local pub the same do ya? ....Big hit with the regulars i bet!

Well, you see most of the people on this board support Tottenham Hotspur, and not Manchester City. So that's pretty sensible.

Look, I don't give a single shit about the whatever cup. But if it's a trophy, it's better to have it than not, and it's fucking horrible to throw away a 2-0 lead against fucking relegation-fodder West Ham.

If it didn't pain you to lose today then you're not Spurs. I took my fucking dog out to piss about 5 times in the second half, because he went out to piss for the first goal, and went out to shit for the second...

What did he do for the third? :disdain:

Son was really poor in the second half
After 2:0 Dele dragged the ball a tad too long in two different occasions. Both times Son was open and running expecting a pass from Dele. None came as defender closed on Dele. You connect 1 of the 2 and scored 1 more, and made 3:0? game over right there. But no 2:0 everyone get cute waste chances and energy and energy of your team mates plus get complacent and even fall asleep? sometime you get away but sometime this is what you get bc shit adds up

Poch’s post-match comments seemed a bit soft, so I hope that was just a front and he gave the players a right and richly-deserved bollocking behind closed doors. It may be a competition considered less important but you don’t throw away a 2-goal lead especially with a squad that’s not exactly a bunch of youth teamers.

In the long run, as I said before the game, the loss does not bother me. It's a shit Cup that clogs up the schedule at a deadly time of the year. So, I am not shedding tears that we are out. The performance, as docomospur docomospur said, deserves a bollocking from Pochettino. Not so much as a punishment, but as a warning to never do that in games that we actually need to win.

I’m currently re-evaluating my Spursness. I felt nothing tonight. Absolutely nothing. Tiny crowd, 7 changes from Liverpool and a joke competition. I honestly want to feel bad but I don’t. I used to be a sound Spurs fan, l could write a book about my back of a Transit van days when we were pleased to avoid relegation, but I admit I’m not so good at this Champions league lark. It’s just a matter of perspective. To answer your statement, I have to admit I’m not really Spurs and I’m happy to leave the fanbase in the safekeeping of our internet standard bearers. I fear of being renounced any day now. John will chop me in and I don’t fancy being interrogated by The Dane. Life is too short - or it will be if they get their hands on me.

I've not seen us play that badly since our Champions League games last season. Just the team not working together like they usually do and eventually playing in a blind panic when they'd run out of ideas. Really took me back to how poor our performances could be at times in the past. Before the game I felt it was going to be tough and we would possibly lose or scrape through after extra time, but fucking up a 2:0 lead is pretty unacceptable regardless of who it is against.

I'm back.

LET THE CUNT OFFS BEGIN!!

Edit: I see you's have started without me :(
Ok, just to fill you in. You can only be Spurs if you lament the passing of the Kangaroo cup like the death of a close family member. It has been pointed out to me that I’m as Spurs as Piers Morgan, and I’m certainly not fit to comment on our priorities or aspirations. This place is a cruel parish and I’m not going to stand in anybody’s way any longer. We are hopelessly shit and beating Manchester Utd and Real Madrid won’t paper over the cracks - we’re finished.

In a week we draw away to the European champions, smash Liverpool at 'home'. Then the second-string team loses by a goal to a premier league team.
Disgrace! Poch needs to rethink his priorities and give these big-time charlies a right bollocking!
Hopefully people wake-up in the morning with sore heads and a bit of perspective.
Obviously the gooner trolls on here will keep on trolling until our next victory, but we can always tell ourselves, 'at least we aren't them'
