If Frank gets sacked in a near future, who would you like to see as his permanent replacement?

To be honest I think we either trust in Frank, let him dig in, fight with the team and learn how to cope with Spurs and the demanding schedule - or any manager that comes in needs to be prepared and have a team around them that is able to cope with two, and even three, games per week. If I'm honest that seems to be one of the major issues - Frank makes a lot of changes without the team fully bedding into them. Better that he picks one system that suits our players and coaches the team to hurt the opposition and respond to changes within that system than constantly changing it

It would be nice to get off the sacky sack train for once...

But I don't think it will happen.

get the man back, fuck ENIC off - he cared about this football club!

The problem with Frank out is that you aren't replacing him with better.

The obvious looks are Iraiola and Glasner but they aren't going anywhere.

Especially with the Liverpool situation as it is. Any top 10 manager with eyes of leaving their current situation will be looking at Arne Slot's job before Thomas Frank's.
And if you are replacing, then its another few months of waiting until they get everything they need in place (players, style of play etc). Iraola and Glasner were both slow burners. Oh and Klopp and Arteta and Poch etc

I massively rate De Zerbi- think he's a quality manager and reckon his style scales up to a club like Spurs a lot better than Iraola's does. Currently 2 points of the top of Ligue 1, keeping pace with PSG and beat Newcastle in the CL. Think the main reason he struggled a bit in his 2nd season was juggling league and Europe with their squad and not feeling he was sufficiently backed in the market.

The big issue with him is he's a colossal cunt.
What’s he done to make him such a cunt? I’ve not heard anything about him since he left Brighton

In no particular order:

Hutter
Hoeness
Italiano
Ole Werner
Farioli
Toppmoller
Michel

Would be a decent list to work with for starters.

Ole Werner in particular looks like someone whose stock is rising:
  • Took over Holstein Kiel early into the 19/20 season as his first job where they were sitting 16th. Finished 11th.
  • Finished 3rd in his second season to make the playoffs before losing at that stage.
  • Got sacked early into his 3rd season after a slow start.
  • Took over Werder Bremen midway into the 21/22 season in Bundesliga 2 to earn promotion in his first season.
  • Had gradually established them as a mid-table/top-half Bundesliga side in the following few years.
  • Moved on to Leipzig this summer, and is currently sitting 2nd with a record of 8-2-2.
There are also ones who aren't doing so well :
  • Hutter is out of the job right now after getting sacked from Monaco despite getting 13 points from the first 7 league games, after finishing 2nd and 3rd in the previous two seasons.
  • Michel is in the relegation zone with Girona, albeit in an upward trajectory in the last 5-6 weeks, after that historical 23/24 season where they were 2nd as late as March. Could be time for a change of scenery.

Palace won a game against Burnley yesterday where they had 42 percent of the possession and hung on to it for their dear lives for a good 30 minute stretch at the end.

Any manager needs a reasonably fit group of players to execute his plans, and Glasner's hands are quite tied due to serious lack of depth after a very disappointing summer window that left them woefully short.

That being said, shouts of:
  • This is Joseball/Conteball without Kane and Son
  • Should've thrown the kitchen sink at Conte when he was here, instead of going for a cheap imitation
  • This is not what Spurs are about, this guy doesn't get it
  • We were becoming Brentford 2.0, and now are becoming Crystal Palace 2.0
and the like would be very loud from the get go.

Not worth it.

Is it possible to create a poll this late into the thread or do we need to create a new thread to get the poll done.

I want eller managers you mentioned in the poll
Hutter
Hoeness
Italiano
Ole Werner
Farioli
Toppmoller
Michel

And Im sure there will be a few that wants
Postecoglu and Pochettino in it too.
