61 goals after 29 games is the most we've ever managed in the Premier League era.
We usually are barely at 50 at this stage.
Our highest goalscoring season was 2016/17 when we scored 86 goals, probably no chance we get close to that but its very likely this season gets to be one of our highest scoring seasons.
Remarkable when at the start of the season there was a lot of negativity as to who would score our goals.
That’s fucked up that Pedro has no league goals
I think the story here is that for much of the season we were operating without either a LW or alternatively without a centre forward - Son of course filling both roles but generally scoring mostly as centre forward, Richarlison often not available but did have a scoring streak playing as centre forward before getting injured again.
Whilst we had Werner playing as LW for part of 2nd half of the season, I think its fair to say we didn't get enough goals and assists as we should have got from the LW position throughout the season as we needed to - and that's once area where we need to find a player who can both score and create.
Whilst both Johnson and Kulusevsji played as both RW and other positions during the season, overall we had more success in goals and assists down the right hand side,

I'm guessing PL chalked the extra 2 goals off as OG - I used the PL info for player stats but not the OG stat

I reckon we will score more but a realistic estimate of goals scored this season will be 80.

OG …. our beloved Chairman’s favourite player (based on performance/ cost. data ) will turn out to be an unsung hero IMO .
Lankshear will score for fun if given a chance, especially in the early stages of the EL and Caramel Cup.

I think we can expect a bit more than 10 goals from Solanke after how much we've paid for him. 15-20 goals seems like a reasonable expectation.I reckon we will score more but a realistic estimate of goals scored this season will be 80.

Importantly a good number of players scoring - eight plus Mr OG - rather than an over reliance upon a couple of players only. 9 goals in PL plus 2 in League Cup to date
Harsh that Johnson doesn't even rate a goal involvement for the OG. It was a shot on target which deflected off two opponents and went in. Normally that's credited as a goal to the shooter, with the key element being that the shot has to be on target before the deflection(s). But in this case the keeper did just enough to be credited with a "save" stat and therefore the defender with an OG.
