Financial sustainability? A reason to sell of our players and be somewhat justified in doing so. Selling off players and generating immediate cash flow without anyone batting an eyelid because we are relegated and the expectation is we sell players.
I think thats part of it but there something more sinister at play which I can't explain. Something that benefits the people up top financially.
I have thought a lot about whether this whole situation has been intentionally constructed by the people running the joint
And there are so many signs that point to it but if they were genuinely trying to get us relegated surely they would have just left Frank in charge to finish off the job?
I think they are just a disaster cocktail of incompetence , arrogance and delusion

And who's going to buy them? And how much will they bring? We lose around £250m if we go down though through TV money, sponsorship money, gate receipts will be less this time around and no European football.
If they wanted immediate cash flow then they could sell off our players if we stayed in the league regardless, also this is at a risk if we come straight back up next season which is by no means a guarantee at all.
After Chelsea for me, the absolute worst Spurs performance I’ve ever seen, somehow even worse than when we lost 6–1 at home to them back in the 90s.Isn't that what they did?
Frank Should have been sacked after Bournemouth, Chelsea & Woolwich @ home.
Frank was given time to show us what dirty cup he drank from.
The last game I went to this season. The lack of effort from our players in that game was disgusting. After Chelsea for me, the absolute worst Spurs performance I’ve ever seen, somehow even worse than when we lost 6–1 at home to them back in the 90s.

The main reason is an ex-Arsenil CEO for 14 years has become Tottenham's CEO this season! Vinai Venkatesham
He was awarded the OBE for services to Arsenil in 2024 by fellow Indian Rishi Sunak.

I doubt the higher ups want to devalue the club by getting relegated. They just failed in a bad “moneyball” experiment. The looked at the model of financially successful mid table clubs and attempted to follow suit.We lose around £250m if we go down though through TV money, sponsorship money, gate receipts will be less this time around and no European football.

I'm saying I believe there's something underhand going on that will come out a long time from now. Something that can't be explained logically but literally every sign points to it.We lose around £250m if we go down though through TV money, sponsorship money, gate receipts will be less this time around and no European football.

I don't understand how the TV commentators, all the fans in the stands, and the ones at home all see it one way and somehow VAR goes the other way. Its crazy
Nailed it. Common sense in the thread at lastEither way, the refereeing is so shocking that every club could probably come up with a list like ours. The best thing we can do is play better and well enough to make shocking decisions irrelevant to our survival.
Is actually a terrible thing for the league though... To admit that every single club can list multiple incorrect decisions given against them.
They spent years selling us VAR as the tool that will end all controversies and make things 100% right. While they actually were sneaking the ultimate tool that will allow the powers that be (League, TV, Betting companies, etc) control outcomes of matches and even season. Football has become un-enjoyable, dull, depressing, and full of worse controversies instead. They don't care though since they have their control in place now and will never relinquish it.I don't understand how the TV commentators, all the fans in the stands, and the ones at home all see it one way and somehow VAR goes the other way.
