Management Why are the club not calling out the PGMOL?

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yeah but there's no harm in calling out decisions that closely affect us too.

What I will say is that if the club were ever gonna do it, they need to do it now. Raise issues now and make them think twice for the remaining fixtures. Do it after relegation and it just seems like sour grapes.

Nothing will get said though. Ange called it out and he was dismissed by our own as a fat grumpy bloke.

Either way, the refereeing is so shocking that every club could probably come up with a list like ours. The best thing we can do is play better and well enough to make shocking decisions irrelevant to our survival.

Playing better doesn't minimise the bad referring decisions though, even if we were mid table and had maybe 10-12 more points that doesn't negate from the bad job the PGMOL are doing nor does it really alter the point that the club ought to be doing more to help the players out regardless.

I want us to become a complete Karen club now, absolutely sick of referees take the complete piss out of us just because we are Spurs and just because we don't call it out...the club should be well on top of this to gain every piece of Sporting advantage because we will and have fallen fall behind if we don't look at the small details like this.

Club is soft. Woolwich and Liverpool would make a song and a dance about it.
Would make...? They already HAVE done!
It's been going on for years. It's also a big reason why we get so many injuries. Other clubs are allowed to get away with nasty challenges on our players, compared to what our players are allowed to do back. It's so painfully obvious to see every game.

The PGMOL and media are dominated by Woolwich, Man United and Liverpool fans, that's why those teams always get more decisions go their way. Who do Spurs have fighting their corner in the media? Glen Hoddle, who even we have to admit, is a bit of a weirdo.

If nobody else is going to stand up for the club, against the like of G Neville, Carragher, Keown, Parlour and all the other ex pros of other clubs, then unfortunately there's always going to be a bias against us. Not to bang on about Ange again, but it least he did stand up for the club and push back. We desperately need a manager that does that.
Conte was also 'that manager' who would call it out...
Unfortunately, he called US OUT instead of the PGMOL!

Everything points to sabotage but what is the actual motivation for powers that be to see us relegated?
...it's good telly apparently!
SKY are absolutely loving it... and paying handsomely for the 'privilege' of being able to broadcast it!

I cant see why it wasnt a penalty however prior to that pickford two footed smashed Taty way after hed shot which meant the cameras had moved on. It shouldve been a penalty and a sending off but because of no good angles VAR couldnt make a decision. swings and roundabouts.

Agreed.

Too much about us is silent acceptance, as though you gain points from being decent.

If you've got high blood pressure or get stressed easily.....probably don't watch this compilation of how we've been screwed over.

Great stuff saw that

To be clear I don't want to turn this thread into a woe is us, refs are out to get us/we are being cheated etc...because every team in the league can point to that.

I'm just utterly pissed off how soft this football club is and just generally accept bullshit that happens to us and yet other clubs always pipe up even when bad calls are subjective.

How can a club like Nottingham fucking Forest complain so much about a ref that they get him banned from officiating their matches and yet our club who are apart of the big 6 cannot use our big club status to push back, it's insane

The spammers handball against us is so laughably corrupt it's unreal. Just listen to the commentators...both anti spurs and one has to admit the arm is not in a natural position before the other one says "it's natural enough"...eh??? What??? Arms up when the opposition player has the ball at feet is "natural enough" hahahahahahah

Maybe they are hoping for relegation because they are trying to get Levy to sell his shares back to the club so ENIC have full control for an eventual sale #clutching

So I was bored and actually went through these and others and see if there was any common denominator across all them. The common names that kept cropping up were Stuart Attwell, Jarred Gillett and Robert Jones.

Then these 2 were specific to them being on VAR, James Bell and Craig Pawson.

Any idea if we have any of these for the run in?

Fair play. Some great points.

If there IS a conspiracy, which I think is nonsense (although many on here seem convinced there is) then its hard to avoid the obvious conclusion that the club itself is in on it.

Whilst I don’t think it’s realistic that it’s INTENTIONAL on the part of the ownership (incompetence more likely), I think the statistical chance of all the injuries and bias referreeing decisions happening all together is too impossible.
If it makes it sounds like a Woolwich incel conspiracy theorist so be it, but I’m now convinced there must be some betting ring that’s got us going down.

Don't think it's a conspiracy, but for everyone that says "every club feels the same about refs" why do we statistically have the most yellows per foul and, by a distance, the least penalties per touches in the box in the entire league? I don't buy that's all solely because of our players or tactics.

There are stats to back up the fact we've been refereed harshly this season and it has (likely) had a material impact on our points tally that could lead to us getting relegated.

Whatever the reasons are: bad luck, Romero's reputation, unconscious bias - we quite literally have suffered more than most teams so it's not "the same for everybody".

I think it's simpler than that- we're quite simply the most hated team in English top flight football right now. And thanks to Levy/ENIC's miserly, insulting mode of doing business, every other exec and team in the league and by extension, their fans (refs) hate us.

I'd not be surprised if Levy and ENIC were too much of cheapskates to try and bribe the refs either, which has resulted in us not only not being helped, but being targeted for 'punishment'.

The pressure upon us is incredible right now, and we'd be like demigods in a greek heroic if we were to somehow overcome all of this at this point in the story...

My West Ham mate last night suggested it was because we're the "known" Jewish Club in the PL, that's where the hate & the iffy refereeing are coming from, has he got a point?

The league has instructed refs to help us get relegated. Whether that's for illegal purposes or just because they feel it's a great storyline who knows.
Don't care how crazy that sounds but I've never seen officiating like this in all my years of watching football

We'll get more highly suspect calls Sunday

As was said earlier., if there IS a conspiracy, the club / board must be aware of it and yet they do absolutely nothing to highlight it. So the natural conclusion has to be they are part of it.

The only thing for certain is it's unprecedented in the PL era for a club of our size and resources to be in this position (it should be impossible) so it's either happening by design, or, more likely, we just have the worst owners in the history of the Premier League itself
