Management Why are the club not calling out the PGMOL?

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

what frustrates me is some of our own fans seriously think it's because "we never go inside the box, that's why no pens".

  • Solanke, Malick Thiaw shove. Worse than Groceries against Atleti yet nothing.
  • Gray, Brentford 2 players blocked him off. Not stonewall but seen given.
  • Muani, Sunderland, no no he was already going down so clattering him is fine and should be expected.
  • Van De Ven, Utd, they decided the other player did not foul him, but somehow could not see clear contact from the player behind him which fucked VDV up due to his high speed.
  • Maddison, Leeds, cleared very quickly like there was no way they wanted to get to the bottom of that. Ref ignored Maddison's claim, which VAR could verify if only they were not so pressed for time.
  • Richarlison, disgusting amount of fouling by Van Dyke. Richy knows we never get pens so he trys to resist and gets a weak shot off but it's a clear foul. You don't manhandle like that anywhere else and it not be a freekick, but hey Tottenham so...
  • West Ham, very clear handball, arm in unatural position nobody runs with arm up like that. Very obvious.

So thats 7 off top of my head definite shouts that have all been denied. Many of them have been cleared in nanoseconds compared to what happens for other teams.

I don't view any of them apart from the Gray one as being lightweight shouts. The others are certainly very givable pens in my view.

Always makes me laugh when people say we don't get pens because we don't get in the box enough until you realise half the league has less touches in the box than us and you don't need to have touches in the box to get pens anyway :D

Our players are getting beaten up and our opponents aren't punished and this club says fuck all about it.

At this stage I'm more than convinced that there's going to be a complete sea change at the top starting with those 2 clowns and they're just sitting on their arses waiting for it to happen because how else do you explain the lack of fight or communication?

They're cowards. Scared of being disliked and unpopular. Also like a lot of our fanbase.

It's driving me mad now. It's like they are endorsing it by not speaking up. I can't understand why under any circumstances they are not speaking up. Like you said our players are getting whacked with no protection from refs at all. No media attention either. The other clubs even a Bournemouth size wouldn't stand for this I think. It's very odd. But historically I don't recall much fuss ever getting made 🤔

This club is run by gutless cowards . We should call out the the PGMOL and ask for an explanation as to why Havertz and VVD got away with a yellow card and no punishment and Xavi Simons got a red card for an almost identical challenges . This is nothing new - The PGMOL are consistently giving decisions in favour of the red shirt clubs . We're in a relegation battle because of decisions made by the PGMOL , they claimed the ball was not in play - when there were camera angles showing the ball was in play and It should have been a penalty . They're after a dramatic final day with a relegation battle being the highlight of the day .

There’s two positions now on the way we’ve been officiated this season:

1. Denial

2. Honesty

If you are honest with yourself, you don’t deny what your eyes and every data analysis possible tells you. The refs have refused to give us a single decision for an entire season. They’ve also gone out of their way to give decisions to help out opponents and they’ve done the exact opposite for our most hated rivals.

None of us can say for sure why they’ve done that but they’ve done it.

BUT,,,,De Zerbi is right that the team and coaches can’t afford to get fixated on it, they have to focus on getting points regardless of what the refs do. Ultimately the players kicking the ball about can decide games by larger margins than refs can affect. In a league like the prem that’s decided on analytics models that keep the margins so slim, that’s tough to do but it’s what they have to do.

We did write to them back in March - nothing to say we won't do it again.

They need to do what Forest did - Go nuclear and go public

Being nicey-nice behind doors has got us nowhere. Being confrontational got Forest able to blacklist a ref, and the Goons a Prem title

Its 90% of the reason why modern football is a farce, its like a horrible low budget soap opera

I can name multiple decsisons they have given us, and many many decisions that have gone against our rivals (except Woolwich of course)

Posts like this, if more balanced would actually add something to the discussion but when you dont even come across as mildly objective then it just makes it sound like rant of someone unable to deal with the pressure of being where we are in the league.

Doesn't even need De Zerbi and the managers to focus on it, the club can put complaints in but they choose not too.

Imagine it's taken 2 of our players have taken to social media over the past week to indirectly highlight it, that's an absolute disgrace.

Yeah I know what I've seen! It's been so common and predictable there is no mistaking it.

It's a good thing we have De Zerbi, given the resources at his disposal and the broken state we were in, he has worked wonders that we even made it to the last game.. at one point we looked totally dead. If not for 2 mistakes by Danso and Tel plus some ref bullshit we would be safe already.
His attitude is fantastic and might be what tips things in our favour.

You are in the denial camp. And that’s fine. Everyone has a coping mechanism for reality.

If you are happier believing the VAR genuinely didn’t know the ball was in play before Cucurella finished his rugby tackle of VDV, or that VAR wouldn’t have sent the ref to the monitor for the Delap elbow if it was a different team, that’s up to you. I can’t blame you for it because like I said, everyone has different ways to cope.

There are people who still pay money to watch WWF wrestling and talk about the “fight” with their mates afterwards.

As for the pressure on Sunday, I’m a sicko, I’m weirdly enjoying it more than I would a nothing mid table finish. I also fully understand that’s just me, though.

Yeah I agree.

I’d go even further, the fact that they haven’t makes me question their integrity.and as a result the integrity of the whole competition

Like I said. Willing to have an objective conversation about it. I am absolutely denying your claims because they are false as stated.

VAR also knew that Romero should have been sent off vs Brentford and Bentancur probably should have been sent off vs Chelsea in the first game.

We have had a lot of bad decisions go against us.... but not every single one.

Absolutely my way to cope is by trying to find data to support what is being said to try to understand.

You could be honest and say yours is being hyperbolic as it is much more comfortable for the brain, when feeling dysregulated, to hunker down and see everything as black or white
