Player Wilson Odobert

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Good to see someone other than BJ score the tap ins from that position. Those claiming that BJ has some special skill enabling him to score tap ins will have to think again.
In addition to the tap ins, Odo offers much more than BJ. He can take on a player and picks the better passes.
He’s gonna put son under real pressure when Kulu is back, trampoline touch is in trouble

I think this is the advantage of a winger than can run a lot and dribble well. He provides chaos in the opposition defence and to be fair has always shown that.

I still think Johnson has his uses. He is great in games where the play is broken and he can drift in and around the box. He smells goals and assists. However I hate when we play Son and Johnson together as neither of them provide good enough general play to enable our attack to function. It always just breaks down.

Have Odobert as the starter then decide between Johnson or Son.

Not sure about that.

When the social media abuse got really bad and he deleted his account, he responded with the Coventry winner and a crazy run of goals every game.

None of these players would have reached this level if they didn’t have a competitors mindset. They are all built slightly different to most of us that way.

Of course, I’m just talking in the context of top level footballers.

IMO the main thing is we are starting to see we have genuine alternative players for several of the forward positions.

For the Johnson haters - one of the issues is we played him for probably 4 months every weekend and every week, so no wonder he wasn't playing at his best all the time. Now we have Odobert we can both rotate and sub on each player plus they can compete in training, which both will benefit from.

Both play is different ways, which by itself is very useful. It wouldn't surprise me if Johnson also changes his style of play a bit, adding different moves, whilst still scoring far post goals which by itself may add otyher dimensions to Spurs attack.

But overall I'm most I'm delighted that we have now got Odobert back from injury starting to show what we thought e had bought via the short clips we saw of him in previous seasons and memories of him giving a few Spurs players a tricky time when playing for Burnley against us last season.

So Johnson will change his style adding different moves because Odobert scored 2 goals🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

If he did he should be shown the door because that would mean he’s be cheating us and his team mates but I can guarantee nothing will change in his game because he isn’t good enough.

You can’t just flick a switch and become something you’re not

The squad as a whole has NOT done much effective training together for moths as playing twice a week with a one day recovery break after each match means not much time left to train.

No switches required, Training includes constantly repeating a series of moves together so all players involved know their place - that's how team moves are developed.

No time to train with team mates (especially when down to maybe 12 fit first team players) and develop a range of attacking moves together.

What do you not understand about the effect of injuries and decimated squads ?
