Player Wilson Odobert

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Probably good for his confidence that he's back in France u21 squad even though he's not played that much.

He's still a little rusty from being out for so long, and provided the French coaches are careful not to play him for 90 mins for 2 matches, it will probably help both Odobert and Spurs for him to play a bit for France u21's over next week or so

Two very talented teams. Will be great

I think this is the advantage of a winger than can run a lot and dribble well. He provides chaos in the opposition defence and to be fair has always shown that.

I still think Johnson has his uses. He is great in games where the play is broken and he can drift in and around the box. He smells goals and assists. However I hate when we play Son and Johnson together as neither of them provide good enough general play to enable our attack to function. It always just breaks down.

Have Odobert as the starter then decide between Johnson or Son.
Agreed. And Son and Johnson just isn’t physical enough. We don’t play to Johnson’s strengths Tbf

The Difference is really Wilson fits this system, SON KULU & Johnson or all wing forwards who cut inside like saka, if your wingbacks cut inside also that gives no space for Son etc to work with, which is why they look like shit when they play, getting the wingback to go wide will fix this.

Odobert debut was left wing cutting in and looked good there too. Thing is, he can legit dribble either direction and finish off either foot so both wings look like an option for him.

Will be interesting to see him develop and see where he ends up.

Hopefully yesterday was the start of his proper career with Spurs. Played very well - now just stay fit and get some consistency.
