Competition Winning a trophy - is it important?

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It should be absolutely EVERYTHING. Look at the scenes from West Ham and Roma fans when they won the Conference League - sheer and utter jubilation. Not one of their fans would swap that feeling for an occasional top 4 spot and a crack at the Champions League.

Tottenham have a real opportunity to win the Europa League this season. do it and it'll be nothing but unbridled jubilation for months on end.

There should be nothing more aspirational than winning Silverware

Would you take relegation if it meant winning the FA Cup?

If the alternative is perpetual embrace of mediocrity under Levy?

Yeah, I probably would.

Relegation would be really really embarrassing and bad. But it wouldn't destroy the club. The status quo is destroying the club.

Tottenham aren't going to be relegated fs.

Yes it's been an abysmal season in the EPL but given the injury situation that's kind of understandable.

Would I take being in the mid to lower half of the EPL for a one off season for a bit of silverware? I'd bite your fucking hand off.

Get in the habit of winning things and the league position will take care of itself over time.

I know we aren't getting relegated, it was just a question based off your previous post.

I feel like it depends on what you’ve done. we’ve had some pretty solid league finishes for awhile without any silverware. Which can get stale. So at this point I’d be happy with our lower league finish if we can win something. But if we had sustained lower half finishes and a couple cups thrown in the mix I’d probably change my tune.

I think it is hilarious that we have a thread with the title "winning a trophy, is it important?"

I am envisaging the laughter from any opposition fans reading this forum.
