result not bad. apart from the penalty and free kick we didn't create all that much.. Woolwich hit the post too so it could have been worse. apart from not losing we also have Kane back which is great for us

Up to the time he clearly bottled it I thought Son did ok but I hope Poch has words in his shell like for that
Team in a slump going up against a Woolwich side in red hot form. Getting a point while creating chances and showing real teeth is a great result. Kane definitely rusty but still so good today. I don't think anyone had a bad game today. I give Wimmer a pass on the OG, because you can't let your cover rot away and then expect them to just slot in seamlessly. He still did well despite the circumstances.

Thought JV had a good game too. Dembele was especially good today. Woolwich don't like players trying to run past them because they don't know how to stop it, so glad he did that a bit. He is so good at it I wish he'd be given licence to do it more.
Could have been worse. But let's not act like everything's fine just because we didn't lose today. We have major problems with our passing and creativity; there isn't a lot of quality in the squad for those forward positions. We either need to start spending our money better on top creative players or Poch needs to take some chances with the youngsters again. Something has to dramatically change in our approach, cause we are slowly being left behind by the teams that we want to be competing with this season.
I agree that we need a pace option up front. Even Kane doesn't really offer that. It's a weakness in our squad in my opinion. Buy a youngster with promise, pace and control - you can teach them finishing.
Will absolutely take that. Poch got the tactics right and we were very unlucky to concede the OG as well as not nick one at the other end. Draw probably a fair result all in all.

Is that not allowed? He played well apart from the OG which he had to go for.
To be fair to Son, Cech is a big guy and if he slides in his risks injury when he gets clattered. But it's 1-1 in the NLD you have to go for the ball. He overall had a 8/10 as he was probably our most dangerous player but bottling the tackle knocks it down to 6/10 for me.

I'm relieved. It's another draw, but it was a much better performance than over those over the last month. The system worked out well - Wimmer could have done better at defending the free kick, but it was offside anyway.
Eriksen was much better today, more freedom in this role. Kane and Son seemed to work pretty well for playing in this system for the first time. Walker and Rose also had more of an impact, because Wanyama and Dembele were covering them.
The break is coming at a very good time, Toby and Dembele are staying in London, Kane hopefully isn't going as well, Alli will be recovering, Sissoko's suspension comes to an end. Let's smash Payet United FC in two weeks time, COYS.

Really though it shouldn't matter how big Cech is he should have gone for it and, at least, drew the red card
