Match Woolwich Scumbags v Glorious Tottenham Hotspur (1st Oct - 12:30pm)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The signing of Jesus looks to be an inspired one so far.
They have a lot of quality on the ball with arteta trying to recreate a MK2 version of city.
I think the team will do very well to get a draw from another ground that traditionally we tend not to get anything from so happy with a draw.

Wonder what excuse they'll come up with to try and get out of playing us this time?

Can't use covid. Can't use shortage of players. Maybe they'll just all call in sick and hope for the best?

Whilst their test will come in the second half of the season when they aren't playing the easy teams in a row it will be a big test for us mentally. We fought back at the chavs which was positive but a win for us at that shithole will be a real statement of intent for this season.

Looking forward to Sonny and Richi winding them up. Especially Richi. He seems to have his finger on the pulse fan wise and will be itching to cunt them off.

Really excited for this game, hoping for my first visit and it will be a great barometer for how both teams are shaping up / will settle for another London derby away draw but hoping we put in better performances than both Chelsea and West Ham!

They play much quicker and more direct than the perpetually boring Man City imo. I can see us winning, we have a much better chance than previous years but just as likely to lose if that makes sense. Both teams have firepower. I don’t think tradition has much bearing on this

He won’t play

I am not seeing this as a walkover like many on here. Firstly I hope we actually turn up unlike recent years, if we do I think we can edge it . Would be massive to take 5 points from Woolwich , Chelsea , West Ham away.. Second half of the season all having to play at our gaff is nice to have in our pocket

COYS

I'm wary of this fixture because of the way the last NLD played out. At the time, I said it felt like Woolwich forfeited the match and the Premier League awarded us a 3-0 win. I think they'll have a score to settle this time around.

We can get a result but we'll have to work for it this time. I'm not going to try and predict a Conte team yet. I'll wait and see what the squad is like after the international break.

We have been utterly pathetic in the last two visits there, truly disgusting performances both times.

We may have drawn away at Chelsea and West Ham this season but I didn’t see much improvement in performance compared to lasts season, still timid and outfought in these away derbies. We have to play with the same spirit we did in the home NLD last season if we want any chance of a win.

That performance under Nuno was the most pathetic and embarrassing performance and tactical set up I’ve ever seen. He should have been sacked immediately after the game

Richarlison and Son to combine and decimate their flukey start to the season.

Would be interesting to see if Conte benches Kulu again or would he prefer Son coming on in the second half and run at the hapless tired back line

During half time even.

I was fuming, watching that shit. I am not a violent person, but I would have punched him in the face if I had the chance then.
He just stood there like little piece of shit and watched my beloved Spurs being HUMILIATED by totally average team.

We had no midfield and no defensive shape whatsoever. Players were just randomly doing ... somehting... there was no fight even.

Aghhhh still gets my pulse running.

Knew from this moment on, that Nuno had no way back from this.

It is all in our hands - we could bring their title winning bullshit to rapid halt.

They have had one tough game so far, and they got totally raped by ManUre.
Now after Brendford rolled over, it is our turn. And if we manage to get a win from this one, next one up would be Liverpool (!!). So IF we manage to find balls and resilience, we could help to see them lose 3 games out of 4.

But it ain't gonna be walkover by any means.
If they play with two lines of Partey-Xhaka/Lokonga + Martinelly-Odegaard-Saka ; then I am afraid how PEH+Benta duo would handle this.

I really-really hope that Conte will go with CM 3 to this game. Ideally I would have hoped Skippy sitting deeper and Bissouma+PEH higher, but it is too soon for Skippy I am afraid. Then Bentancur sitting deeper with Bissouma and PEH higher. For me Davies should start this one - I was quite dissapointed with Lenglet awareness and defensive performance against Leicester. I am afraid he would be quite hopeless against Saka, Jesus and Odegard combining there.

I feel that we should go with -

-------------Lloris---------------
-Romero--Dier--Davies-----
Kulusevski--------Perisic---
---------Bentancur-----------
--Bissouma----Hjojberg---
----Kane---Richalidson----

And like against Leicester, to bring on Sonny in around 60th minute mark. Imagine Scum defenders shitting their pants to see him standing on the line waiting to come on and rip them a new one ?!?!
I just feel that Richie no-BS attitude and massive workrate could help us to get going, specially in the first half while we are bit more careful.

Same

They weren’t just ignoring his plan tho, they were following his ridiculous tactics. Bypassing and ceding MF was absolutely his doing

An absolute fraud of a manager. Without doubt, better options in National League South than that dour fuck

Good post. Be surprised if Kulu starts RWB but agree with your thinking on MF 3 and Richy/Son. If we do play a MF 3 then you can’t have Royal as it’s essentially an 8-2 defensive - attack set up
